I offered an observation a few weeks ago that conservatism aka small government philosophy is dead in modern day politics. Its going to be the destruction of the Republican party. The older generation is going to scold the younger conservatives until a clear divide happens (already is happening). Which could be a great thing if it didn't allow the Democrats to run wild.
Israel support will completely bottom out in the next decade or 2. Young people will not deal well with their quality of life being worse than their grandparents when an entire nation lives off of our own dime.
A nation that comes off extremely arrogant and pompous I might add probably doesn't help either.
Obomber made the worst deal ever. He basically gifted Iran with nukes. We should have kept those frozen assets for repayment for all the money they cost us. Obomber got nothing, it was business as usual in Iran. They didn't get an agreement and it looks like they weren't trying. They were just there to set up our reverse Pearl Harbor.
The agreement Obama got may have been the highlight of his foreign policy. It could have been a useful tool had we used it. Too bad dumbarse Trump scrapped it.
Ah, see Hog you are proving my point. It hasn't, until now. That's the point.
Less spending power, lower home ownership rates, more competitive job market, more debt, wage stagnation, hyper inflation, etc. Gen Z will be the first generation where they overwhelmingly have a lower QOL than their parents. Young millennials probably count in this as well.
Understand why you are coming to those conclusions. But I think it is very premature to make those declarations. Lot of time left for Gen Z and Millennials for QOL determinations.
I was just thinking about this this morning. With how intertwined economies and interests are it's difficult to be isolationist and a world power.I know everyone craps on isolationism but our country is so broken we desperately need to turn our eyes back inward and work on ourselves. I'm just so tired of it all.
I don’t, It’s a different type at least. The left seems to be more Israel is morally bankrupt and uses aipac to control/influences politicians. Where as people on the right go much deeper than that. I think its because religion gets intertwined when you go deep enoughWouldn't surprise me.
You don't find the same conspiracy in young people on the left?
Depends on if we’ve destroyed their nuke capabilities they’ve been weeks away from for nearly 50 years! Duh
Fair enough, I do disagree though. I think if anything it will continue to get progressively worse. Its not like any good news is coming down the pipe.
Hog will probably disagree, and I respect his opinion, but the older generation is completely blind to this. Or they don't care, not sure which.
Its going to create a lot of apathetic people who completely disengage from society (already happening) and it will also probably cause some radicalization as well. Kids were sold a false reality.
They've made a political effort religious, and when the two goals start to look contradictory (as it is now) the snapback is harsh and quick.I don’t, It’s a different type at least. The left seems to be more Israel is morally bankrupt and uses aipac to control/influences politicians. Where as people on the right go much deeper than that. For the love of Pete.
You're welcome to frame this as a situation where Iran is losing the missile battle. But make no mistake, Iran is winning the oil war. The Strait of Hormuz is effectively blocked, and for at least the time being, we've done nothing to unblock it.
And while you're at it, go ahead and post some links to your claims that Iran is severely lacking in missile capability.
You don't have to see it. I can send/post all the data showing it's true.I just don't see it. Our kids are just a couple years older than the Gen Z generation and I don't see the hardships, most of their issues come from their own decisions. Yes, everything is more expensive but wages have never been higher, work easier and more leisure time.
I do like the idea of that generation being more non-interventionalist, I do see that in my kids and think it is fantastic and really hope they carry that mindset into their 40s when they will have the power to effect change.
Fake news bro, they were already destroyed.Depends on if we’ve destroyed their nuke capabilities they’ve been weeks away from for nearly 50 years! Duh
Rooting for failure would be really strange and I say that as someone who opposes the war entirely.
