Due process and rule of law aren't leftist principles. They're cherished American ones. What does that make someone who wants to subvert them for political advantage?
Illegal aliens are not American citizens. Whether it is willfully or not you don't understand that there are different levels of due process that depend on citizen status. It matters with if you are a citizen, legal non-citizen or illegal. Those illegals only have to be positively identified and they can be shipped out, that is all the process they are due.
If that were not true then there are about a million judges that would hop on this and have a field day. As of now, activist judges have resort to contortion to bens their rulings.

Thanks for clarifying that the lack of understanding is completely yours. Everyone gets due process regardless of residency status, and that’s good. If it’s determined via applicable due process that someone is to be deported or not then that’s how it is.
If you don’t like due process and rule of law for all then maybe Myanmar’s for you. That would be a pity for them though since they’re generally nice people.

If an immigration judge has issued a warrant then when they are apprehended they can be shipped out. Those were the papers that the rioters in MN were taking when they busted into that police car.

Levels of Due Process by Status
U.S. Citizens:
Possess the full spectrum of constitutional protections, including the right to a trial by jury in criminal cases, protection against arbitrary government actions, and full rights to enter and reside in the country.
Lawful Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders): Have significant due process rights similar to citizens, particularly regarding deportation. They are entitled to a hearing before an immigration judge to challenge removal and can apply for relief.
Undocumented Immigrants/Non-citizens in the U.S.: Entitled to fundamental due process, including the right to a fair hearing, the right to hire a lawyer at their own expense, and the right to present evidence. However, in certain scenarios, such as apprehension at the border or expedited removal, their due process rights are significantly restricted compared to citizens.

: Donald Trump is much closer to sending US troops to invade Iran than people realize.”
And I say let him. I don't dead USA military personnel, but the imbecile and incompetent Pete
don't know, feet on the ground becomes not just about Iran. We have cultivated Islamic hatred
for Americans for decades. As result, we will find Iraqi, Afghanistan, Arabian, Egyptians, Syrian,
Hezbollah, and other such fighters salivating at getting even with past aggressions of the USA.
They will flow in from all over to their share of American blood-letting. The dumb clucks in Washington
have no idea what a can of tomato puree worms they're opening if they put troops aground, no idea.
Go for it Trumpy and incompetent Pete, go for it. This will finally end the Orange Ogre curse.

I'm old enough to remember that it used to be that America put their political differences aside when our boys were off fighting. That sure isn't the case today. That'
s a damn shame. There will be a time to sort this out politically but for right now let's support them and push for a prompt end and bring them home safely

Something people fail to recognize is that this is not and was not a straightforward dictatorship like Iraq, Libya, Egypt, etc,. This is an ideology. This is a large organization. An organization in which martyrdom is rewarded, not feared. These people do not fear death like rational people. They would rather be martyred than surrender. Not because they’re courageous, but because they are indoctrinated into their radicalized belief. These people created their own separate military (IRGC) in which they self select soldiers at a young age to protect the regime that more than rivals the ordinary military (especially in terms of quality of soldiers). They have built infrastructure ensuring their own survival for this very moment. The Iranian people who have been massacred by this regime, are not going to go out on the streets again to get massacared again.

This regime will not change without a full scale boots on the ground invasion. But I do not believe the American public has the appetite for that, considering it will likely be far more devastating to America economically in addition to number of casualties than Iraq Afghanistan combined. The topography and size of Iran would make for a devastatingly difficult ground invasion.

I have a hard time imagining this goes in any direction other than Trump realizing that he is in over his head, we ultimately withdraw attacks, claim victory over Iran through destroying their ability to produce weapons of mass destruction, while leaving a new Iranian regime in place as hostile as ever.

Not having a monarchy was a founding principle of the Islamic Republic. But here they are. Seems like all governments are just about the same. One party or person trying to collect power until they’ve established an authoritarian dynasty.

I think the United States of America has something to say about this.

This article sheds some light on the Iranian regime.

The Iranian regime... "is founded not upon the principles of enlightened self-interest, or even self-interest, but the fulfilment of a fanatical dream of an apocalyptic war. I mean that literally: the hardcore ideologues within Iran’s leadership believe that war with the West will herald the end of times, during which an invisible Messiah figure called the Mahdi will rematerialise and lead Muslim troops to global victory.

At his side, there will supposedly be 313 generals, selected from among the most faithful, and once the planet is under control, it will be divided between them into 313 provinces. The new Ayatollah is as captivated by this dark fantasy as his father was, and equally as committed to the tripartite strategy of nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles and terror proxies that was constructed in its pursuit.

All of this demonstrates that even under the most severe of pressure, the Iranian regime is unable to compromise, reform or deviate in the slightest from the hellish path of destruction in which it had been investing for many years. This was a problem that was never going away and not getting any lighter, and the more time passed, the more of a threat it would become.

Iran’s malevolent new Ayatollah clearly has a death wish

On a dark night, it would be difficult to distinguish the old Ayatollah, Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei, who met his death in a salvo of 30 Israeli “sparrow” missiles on February 28, and his successor, ...

This fills out the picture of the new leader of Iran, Motjaba Khameini. He fought in the Iran-Iraq war...

"After complementing his martial experience with years of brainwashing in the fanatical form of Shiism that lies at the heart of this malevolent regime, Mojtaba became embedded within the office of the supreme leader, acting as a gatekeeper, power broker, aide and Machiavelli; leaked diplomatic cables described him as “second only” to the chief. His fingerprints were all over the bloody suppression of the January uprisings, which claimed the lives of so many tens of thousands of innocents.

They were also found on Iran’s elections and senior appointments. Other leaked documents revealed that he played a party in the 2005 presidential election of hardliner and arch Holocaust denier Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who was killed in recent days by an Israeli strike, and the death of Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash in 2024 removed a key rival for the eventual Ayatollah’s throne.

That gets to the heart of the matter. The appointment of Mojtaba, which ironically reinforces the principle of dynastic succession rejected by the Islamic Revolution of 1979, reveals one fact about the wounded regime: not only is it unwilling to change, it is pathologically unable to do so."

"Since the commencement of the war, we have seen a display of irrational and ill-thought-out behaviour from the regime that has left many Western commentators shaking their heads in disbelief. Principal among these is the way it attacked its every ally; this appeared to be an attempt to pressure them to lobby Donald Trump to pull back, but – as should have been quite obvious – only succeeded in turning their few remaining friends against them."

It makes them our last two. The actions (inactions) of one and the actions by the other.

Both subverting laws and process for political advantage. I'm fine with calling out Trump for that, but you can't do so and ignore Biden's actions here. Both should be called out.

Nobody I’ve seen are attacking our troops. We’re attacking the idiots that never should have put them in harms way. Yes that’s actually very different.
