Iran

Nobody I’ve seen are attacking our troops. We’re attacking the idiots they never should have put them in harms way. Yes that’s actually very different.

Over what time span?

Iranian proxies have attacked our troops numerous times in both Iraq and Syria.
The Houthies have attacked our troops numerous times by firing Iranian rockets/missiles at our boats.

Not actual combat you porcine simp! I meant derogatory comments. Specifically in this forum.

And if we hadn’t stupidly put them there they wouldn’t be attacked there either!

Too be honest, I haven't been closely following this thread or your posts. Sorry for taking things out of context.

They're attacking the mission and that's a problem. I disagree with you that they're not criticizing our troops. How many times have you seen things posted about the school getting blown up and any other article about civilians dying? They are criticizing whatever they can post

Taking issue with the bold is crazy.

No worries homie busting your pork chops is some of my most fun on here. You were absolutely right in what you said. Our troops have had pot shots taken at them for decades. And if they hadn’t been there then we wouldn’t have to worry about it.

The hell it is! Trump doesn’t even know what “the mission” is. I mean… we all know what it is… oil. It’s always oil. And getting our troops killed again over oil is just gross.

What's the use of having a navy if they don't help keep the shipping lanes open and free?

Why not knock off the imperialist activities and the shipping lanes would not have been in danger. In this case at least.

But yeah the Navy and Coast Guard both do have a higher level of continual risk than most you’re right that is an exception to my statement

I'm old enough to remember that it used to be that America put their political differences aside when our boys were off fighting. That sure isn't the case today. That'
s a damn shame. There will be a time to sort this out politically but for right now let's support them and push for a prompt end and bring them home safely
Vietnam says hi.

I'd love to see us get out of the middle east, write the entire region off as a loss and let them have at each other all the while not letting one drop of their oil enter the western hemisphere.

You're over 100 years old?

: Donald Trump is much closer to sending US troops to invade Iran than people realize.”
And I say let him. I don't dead USA military personnel, but the imbecile and incompetent Pete
don't know, feet on the ground becomes not just about Iran. We have cultivated Islamic hatred
for Americans for decades. As result, we will find Iraqi, Afghanistan, Arabian, Egyptians, Syrian,
Hezbollah, and other such fighters salivating at getting even with past aggressions of the USA.
They will flow in from all over to their share of American blood-letting. The dumb clucks in Washington
have no idea what a can of tomato puree worms they're opening if they put troops aground, no idea.
Go for it Trumpy and incompetent Pete, go for it. This will finally end the Orange Ogre curse.
I’m all for DJT and Secretary Pete getting their fingers burnt to the bone but not at the expense of human life. Ideally they’ll find an outside consultant to show them a way out of the mess they’re making.

Not having a monarchy was a founding principle of the Islamic Republic. But here they are. Seems like all governments are just about the same. One party or person trying to collect power until they’ve established an authoritarian dynasty.
Good point but why did they have to pick a new leader again?

This fills out the picture of the new leader of Iran, Motjaba Khameini. He fought in the Iran-Iraq war...

"After complementing his martial experience with years of brainwashing in the fanatical form of Shiism that lies at the heart of this malevolent regime, Mojtaba became embedded within the office of the supreme leader, acting as a gatekeeper, power broker, aide and Machiavelli; leaked diplomatic cables described him as “second only” to the chief. His fingerprints were all over the bloody suppression of the January uprisings, which claimed the lives of so many tens of thousands of innocents.

They were also found on Iran’s elections and senior appointments. Other leaked documents revealed that he played a party in the 2005 presidential election of hardliner and arch Holocaust denier Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who was killed in recent days by an Israeli strike, and the death of Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash in 2024 removed a key rival for the eventual Ayatollah’s throne.

That gets to the heart of the matter. The appointment of Mojtaba, which ironically reinforces the principle of dynastic succession rejected by the Islamic Revolution of 1979, reveals one fact about the wounded regime: not only is it unwilling to change, it is pathologically unable to do so."

Iran’s malevolent new Ayatollah clearly has a death wish

On a dark night, it would be difficult to distinguish the old Ayatollah, Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei, who met his death in a salvo of 30 Israeli “sparrow” missiles on February 28, and his successor, ...
Just bear in mind that the Telegraph is not in the least unbiased as far as Middle Eastern affairs go.
