Iran

Ah jeez, you're no fun. At least dig through my post history to find something after the fact so you can save some face after mouthing off.
OK just for fun...your post of a Philly No Kings crowd (probably AI enhanced) and claiming it was a view of the Outer Banks. Then when I questioned the veracity, you posted a long AI-paragraph explaining why I might be geographically illiterate. I actually gave you a like for that one.

Edit: I confused Mercy with Monty...I have no historical beef with @MercyPercy.

I think you're getting me mixed up with someone else, friend. The only pictures I post on this board are fish, usually.

Lol… that was Monty…

I suggested that we should focus on the well-being of the pilot instead of whether Iran got credit for a takedown - a legitimate take.
@Persian Vol's comment wasn't about "whether Iran got credit for a takedown," but about an Orwellian euphemism employed in the propagandistic article to which he replied.

It seemed an inappropriate comment while one pilot was in the water and another two missing. But, I always enjoy your prose and vocabulary.

Only thing comical is extreme liberals and extreme conservatives believing what they see from CNN and Fox News. Rich people don’t give 2 ***** about normal working class people and that goes for the left and the right. Kamala Harris would have us in this garbage too and you’d be throwing a fit about it while the left tries and defends it. Tribalism at its finest
What do you consider “rich”?

If you think what I said was appropriate, then I am curious to your thoughts on the several posters here who are insinuating scorched earth policies on Iranian civilians.

I think those posts are horrible and I hope that those posters would reconsider when they think more carefully about them. I also think Trump is making a big mistake with all of the "bombing into the Stone Age" stuff. If infrastructure does not contribute directly to the military effort it should be left alone. My hope for Iran is that the political branch of their leadership trinity eventually wins out and that in the future the political leadership becomes more responsive to the populace.

I share (and I'm sure @Persian Vol shares) your concern for the safety of our downed pilots. Many of us believe, however, that the greatest support we can show our men and women in uniform is to ensure that they are put in harm's way only for a moral purpose necessary to the defense of our country. It seems clear to many of us that the president has sent American troops to war without a plausible justification and without a clear and achievable goal. From this perspective, to oppose propaganda for this "excursion" (as the president has styled it) is to support our troops.
