I can recognize the differences just fine. Your justification for war was that 1. the rhetoric was hateful, and 2. the capability makes that chant mostly bluster. Ignoring the fact that you saying the chant is "mostly bluster" because of their capabilities (and all of this imminent threat ******** that you just admitted is not real)...
Did I say that the only justification is their rhetoric? Again, they've been an enemy for nearly 50 years and they've also been a direct menace to our regional allies. Their
present capabilities render their ultimate goals bluster at this point but, and this may come as a shock to you, it's better to neutralize a threat early on. If Iran had their druthers, it wouldn't be "just" talk.
Iran doesn't have the ability to hit us. North Korea really doesn't either. Both can (and have) hit at their neighbors. Why is it our job to do this?
Why not rain hellfire on Iran before they get that capability? The country and its populace are developmentally-stunted and accordingly haven't made remarkable strides on the arsenal front
yet (though we're certainly seeing some surprises over the last month from an air-defense standpoint), sure, but I'd prefer dealing with the issue head-on prior to any surprise advancement. This isn't America being the "world police," it's confronting an enemy and kicking the absolute **** out of them while they're still a paper tiger.
Donald Trump's second admin is a failure. What is he doing that you voted for? I voted for him three times. I voted for no new wars, meaningful spending cuts, the release of the Epstein files, mass deportations, and America-centric policy. We're getting more fake numbers, new wars, no cuts, a man in mental decline forgetting what he says throughout the day...it's a failure.
He's doing a lot that I've voted for, thanks for asking, though I find your souring over the last fifteen months (after voting for Trump
three times!) to be hilarious. Never agreed with "no new wars" (my position being the polar opposite), I've never been concerned with the Epstein files (this is not a global conspiracy), I'd have liked Trump to be even
more aggressive with both immigration and deportations (ambivalent at best with respect to the Gold Card and will bite my tongue vis-a-vis deportations [ramp 'em up, opposition be damned] until we see how many get picked off during the World Cup), would like to see more bloat cuts and strongly believe that fighting Iran
is "America-centric." I voted for my bank account, Trump's bravado and the hope that the semblance of stability/hope for the problematic faction of America would be upended beyond the aforementioned on all fronts, we're doing swimmingly!
If you want to worship the man like an idiot, go ahead. He's protecting pedophiles, initiating wars with zero strategy, driving our spending through the roof like nobody else, and slapping his name like an egomaniac all over everything. It's a failure.
You take the good with the bad, and the good outweighs from my perspective; there are many things on which Trump can improve, outside of your weird Epstein fixation, but the desire to defend America's interests by (hopefully) obliterating Iran isn't one of them.
