I think he does whatever serves him best. If the country is destroyed on his self serving path, he won't care.

you realize the war is still on going right? its not over, until then its impossible to speak towards any of that. at this point in Afghanistan I am pretty sure al qaeda was pushed back to the mountains, and somewhere near Iraq there was a "Mission Accomplished" banner flying.

you really think the tariff income in 2026 is going to be 300%, or within a reasonable percentage of that, more than 2025? before the refunds that was a tall ask, now after the tariffs I see it as pretty much a mathmatical impossibility.

Russia's influence was already gone. Trump hasn't done anything to reduce China, if anything they got more influence due to Trump's tariffs pushing nations TO china.

once again, the US doesn't not control ALL the major choke points. you couldn't even point to a single one we have noticeably increased OUR control of.
