Inept refs? Horse collars?

I guess the good news is, they were consistent, as both sides agree they were horrendous. I think both sides were equally assisted and hurt to the point it probably canceled out and didn’t affect the outcome. TN won because they were better and earned it. But that entire officiating crew seemed to not be up to the level of a game this size.

The blown review of the TD could’ve been a huge turning point if small hadn’t got in later. That was by far the most egregious call and could’ve altered the outcome of the game. I saw plenty of misses on both sides though. Crew was completely inept.

It was done all game, but how do you miss this hold/block in the back?? You only miss that if you want to miss that. Ridiculous. This was on their last TD drive.

I was coming into this thread to post this same image. I get that you can call holding on lots of plays, and refs have to make judgement calls, but this was ridiculous. Especially when you consider the one holding they did call on TN on what would've been a TD run earlier in the game. The fact this wasn't flagged on a critical play of a critical drive at the end of the game was egregious.

Hopefully they'll start winning by 4 touchdowns every week and we won't have to have all this whining about the refs.
