When you choose to use phrases like sunshine pumpers, and Dooley worshipers, and negavols, and trolls, and all the other garbage y'all are using to describe each other, you just paint yourself as somebody who can't carry on a valid conversation about the game of football without coloring it with superlatives. If you're point is valid...you don't need the other crap.

There is an unlimited amount of material for our fan base to discuss. Good and bad. It's possible to discuss points without slamming someone else's opinion while you do it.

Show a little self respect, and act like you're capable of talking about the state of the Tennessee Football program without insulting the person you're talking to. It's not that hard.

OK, I was not able to trudge my way through this entire thread. Even with the option of showing 50 (I think it is) posts per screen, this thread is still 21 pages long. So I read the first three and the last three.

And I'm a little stumped: what the hell is the problem with the OP? A mod asked for people to post their arguments using sensible statements, and without labeling their detractors as sunshine pumpers and negavols and trolls and other derogatory terms.

She wasn't saying that Dooley is wonderful, or Dooley sucks, or Da'Rick is a cancer, or Whoseywhopper in Nashville has unnatural relations with James Franklin, or anything else. She was just saying, hey people, try posting your arguments and points of view in a way that doesn't insult everyone who has a different point of view.

Yes, I do understand that this is a mostly-guy message board, and Vollygirl is most definitely not a guy, but in what way is a request for semi-civil behavior some gross infringement of VolNation rights? Because I'm really kinda baffled here. :hi:
