Ok, so someone referenced the "Legions of The Miserable".. Ah yes, the quote from Coach Majors, don't remember if it is in this thread or another one, but I will assume the individual is probably in their mid 40's or older, as I am almost 54. Anyway, fans are pissed right now, because we got hammered by Kentucky by 27 points @ home! The worst loss to them since 1935! 1935 - When ELVIS was born! To the fellow fan referencing the "Legions of the Miserable" quote - Sir/Madam, trying to defend Jeremy Pruitt by using a quote from Coach Johnny Majors, and in my opinion compare the two, just will not cut it... Jeremy Pruitt will not be a National Championship winning coach, like Johnny Majors did at Pittsburg. Coach Majors got a longer time to turn things around because he was a Tennessee Man, as you know, and had won the National Title at Pittsburgh for the 1976 season.. In my opinion, and my point as respectfully as I can make it, is that Coach Pruitt will not lead us to an SEC Title, let alone a National Title.. In my opinion, we are regressing and moving backwards.. Yes, I know he won't be fired now, continuity, recruiting, etc.. But, in my opinion, and this is just me, he will be given until at least through the 2022 season to get things going.. I don't think Pruitt and his staff are capable of that, but I sincerely hope I'm wrong. What bothers me the most is that this team plays soft in my opinion, and has no determination or will to win! I think Pruitt excelled as a defensive coordinator due to the fact that he had talented rosters at Bama, UGA, FSU, etc.. Anyway, I think we will have a new Coach to start the 2023 season, hope I'm wrong but the losses are very bad...
