I have a feeling you are going to start seeing a lot more of what happened last night

Kiffin and Corral did not affect me whatsoever. Just a bunch of retards whining about a call and then throwing crap on the field and delaying the game 40 minutes. Uncalled for and more fuel for other schools to use against us in recruiting. Just embarrassing.
I agree completely with your post except for your use of the highlighted word. I had a cousin with Down's Syndrome and we have several mentally disabled students in the school where I teach. In my opinion, that word is just as offensive as any racial slur. Just my two cents, have a great day and GBO.

I guarantee no one in the NCAA sees what happened last night and thinks "wow, those fans have a point, maybe we should listen to them" lol

I don't think you can guarantee that. As a historian, I have found that in various human communities, climactic resistance events like this often serve as wake-up calls that shake the authorities out of their sense of safety and force them into new ways of doing things. Your opinon, Nash Vol, isn't really a "guarantee" of anything, no matter how many lol's it may be followed by.

You will see it because the line be amateur and professional sports gets blurrier everyday.

The kids are legally paid now and the arenas and stadiums are flush with beer and liquor. Only makes sense the crowds start behaving more like pro crowds.

Fwiw what I’m disgusted with is the treatment of other fans, my daughter included who attends Ole Miss. the nasty inbreeds groping , tripping, cussing and spitting at her. Has zero to do to with the refs.
Sure they did 🙄 ole Miss was full of drunk frat rapists who were acting stupid all day. So come down off the high horse because your daughter went to the enemy school “vol fan”

Sure they don't, that's why you listed out every single thing they do that twists your panties in a knot. And bonus, you throw in the non sequitur of your "freedom of choice and speech"....which that had eff all to do with anything. It's a message board genius, if you don't want someone replying to your post that might not kiss your ass over it, then don't post it.

You are evidentially missing the point of message boards, they are intended to be differing opinions and debatable, but with respect to our freedom of speech and nit trying to insult each other.
Anyone is welcome to give me a difference of opinion as long as it is in a professional manner which yours was not. You wanted to attack me simply because I do not agree with your opinion.

Yea, I threw freedom of choice and speech in because I truly want to know why that upsets you. Pretty sure I know why but wanted you to honestly tell me, which you avoided.
You also avoided telling me what 12 years later you are still angered over and feel you need to defend. If I knew why maybe I could possibly agree with you.

This is my last post to you if you don't admit why you felt so impulsed to attack me. I’m sure others are not interested in this debate. I respect your opinion, if you can’t mine without the “panties in a wad” type immature crap go watch an NFL game if that makes you feel better.

I guess you are saying that happened last night at Vols game. Not surprised if it did and sorry she had to experience it.

It isn't just one issue. The fans acted like idiots last night, granted. The other elephant in the room is that many teams in the SEC do not get the benefit of a level playing field with the officiating.

From the top down, the SEC loves their storylines. All they care about is protecting the teams that might have a shot at the playoffs.

Tell you what I’m on my way to play golf, you go watch an NFL game and we will both feel better.

I agree. College Football needs to re-evaluate itself. When the same teams continue to win all of the time, it is starting to creating frustration, anger, etc. The leagues cover these teams as well.

In the SEC, it is Alabama. in the B1G, it is Ohio State.

For the good of the sport, the NCAA should punish those programs and allow other schools to win for once like Michigan and Penn State in the B1G and other schools in the SEC.

I agree we need win equity.

You may be on to something here, punish the schools that have better coaches, better players, better recruiting. If they win a Championship, or even beat a team one year, the next year they play, they have to forfeit the game..

It’s just not going to change. The SEC will protect their teams with the best chance to make playoffs and good bowls. We’ve seen Alabama and Florida protected for over a decade.

Socialism doesn't work, and what you're suggesting is socialism at its worst. "Let's make everybody even so everyone has a chance". You wanna be the man? You gotta beat the man. Not have somebody hand it to you.

Agree…..but you should play the man on a level playing field that is fairly officiated right??

Hard to watch these games and think they are called without bias.

I can certainly come close if we view this as the 2nd-grade temper tantrum that it is rather than a “climactic resistance event” supported by CFB fans at large

Pro crowds don’t typically do this either

I can’t imagine how Bama fans will act if Saban’s replacement turns out to be a dud.

It’ll be a whole lot worse than what you saw last night.

For those who don't know college football history, not long ago Bear Bryant was Saban (or maybe their Neyland) and Alabama was dominant --- for years. When he left, a number of his replacements were "duds." Bama didn't pull the crap that happened last Saturday here. They simply chose wiser and got better. It is really hard to imagine "worse than what you saw last night." UT has set the modern standard for garbage behavior and needs to do much better. No one did this to the Vols. A small group of "fans" did it and there is no excuse that is justified.

Is this a joke? Guessing you havent been to many pro sporting events. Especially in NE and Midwest or California

I've been to literally hundreds and not once has anyone thrown something on the field like this. It's trash behavior by pro standards too

Like how often do you guys think a pro game gets stopped to clear fan trash off the field? You think that is the norm? This must be all the people protesting the NFL who haven't watched a game in 7 years lol

Stuff has been thrown from the student section as long as I've been going to games (41 years). It used to be pennies from heaven on the opposing sideline and they moved the visitors to the opposite sideline for awhile. It rained plastic cups full of liquids in 86 when Miss State's qb hit a seam and beat the Vols. A guy threw a stadium seat onto the field at the Ole Miss game in 83. Personally, I would scatter the students throughout the cheap seats, but the debris seemed to be coming from more than their section this time.

As a fellow alum that went to school with me said, "it just shows we're not ready for prime time". I tend to agree.
