Never mind Kiffin and Corral aggravating the fans. Or Kiffin having every player on his team fake an injury, thus causing the game to last hours longer which in turn allowed people to just get hammer drunk.

I feel like people could have kept it together through all that.

But the officiating that we saw mixed in with everything else pushed it passed the boiling point. People are tired of this crap. They are tired of pee poor flags and spots, and just plan screwing with the outcomes.

It may not be the next game with poor officiating, but my spider sense tells me this is going to happen again, and soon.

Like I said. People are tired of it. Somebody que up Twisted Sister.

People can be tired of it all they want, but s*** like last night won't change anything other than they'll start banning fans or penalizing the team.

Umm s*** like that is how you change things when the other side doesn’t care and won’t do anything about it. Just ask George Washington. 😆

And ain’t nobody banning fans. Trust me. That’s like banning food for a week because it gave you indigestion.

I’m also not saying I would have taken part in that mess. I’m also not saying that under the right conditions that I wouldn’t have been right in the middle of it.

I agree. College Football needs to re-evaluate itself. When the same teams continue to win all of the time, it is starting to creating frustration, anger, etc. The leagues cover these teams as well.

In the SEC, it is Alabama. in the B1G, it is Ohio State.

For the good of the sport, the NCAA should punish those programs and allow other schools to win for once like Michigan and Penn State in the B1G and other schools in the SEC.

Yeah because nobody can beat Alabama or Ohio State ever. Great idea... hahahaha

Punish? No. Evenly and fairly apply the rules? Yes.

The schools have let college football turn into the NBA. If they aren't careful, they'll end up on the trend the NBA is on- downward.

Yes...because a football game is the exact same thing.

You don't beat them until you win the league over them. With the exception of LSU in 2019, no one has dethroned Alabama. Ohio State is in a similar boat. Look at this for the hard facts.

College Football Playoff - Wikipedia

Look at Alabama and Ohio State's appearance versus the rest of the league. Alabama has been 6 times to playoff. Only other teams in SEC are Georgia and LSU 1x.

How is that a fun, competitive product for the SEC?

Last nights fiasco will further render the Vols irrelevant.

These institutions have pushed the general public to this point. Don’t want rage mobs and people acting overly aggressive? Stop. Screwing. Them.

Apply the rules evenly. Hire competent officials. Let teams win or lose on merit. Best team wins not the team who avoided getting screwed by the officials.

You want people to part with something real- their money- and then treat it like the WWE you get what you get. You don't get to take the high ground.

So would you want same thing if UT were to be at the top of the mountain ?

This may be the dumbest post I’ve seen today, maybe ever.

Yes.

To me, the game is not producing a product that I enjoy.

If this was a movie, video game, etc., you wouldn't mind if I pointed out faults in the product that it is a failure.

Sure Saban has a nice run but it has been very unhealthy for the sport as a whole. There are 100s of fanbases but there are only 4-5 teams that are relevant right now. Not good for College Football.

We have entire regions of the country (like the Northeast and West Coast) that are tuning out of the sport.

Socialism doesn't work, and what you're suggesting is socialism at its worst. "Let's make everybody even so everyone has a chance". You wanna be the man? You gotta beat the man. Not have somebody hand it to you.

So punish them because they are better? You are hilarious, laughing at not with.

Works well in the NFL. NFL gives the worse team the first draft pick.

A college equivalent would the top 5 star in the SEC would go to Vandy, next one would go to South Carolina, etc.

It would at least give these fanbases hope and make for a competitive product and enjoyable product instead of watching Alabama beat NEARLY everyone by 5-6 TDs every game.

I agree with your concept but not your application.

Rather than selective punishment, like I said- the rules just need to be applied evenly. College football is becoming the WWE.
