I guess I’m drunk because I remember during Dobbs time here....broadcasters saying that play was a designed RPO but he kept it himself...I’ve watched other games where they say the same thing but the QB pulls it and runs with it....NOT a read option....calling it an RPO but pulling it themselves after the QB sees something from the defense. Either way...JG needs more runs IMHO to slow the defenses down on the edges especially.

Said it when posters were debating Guarantano/Dormady...Guarantano ain’t Dobbs and 100 yard games rushing will never be on his stat sheet. The RPO that Helton is familiar with at Western Kentucky and USC? The running option is done by the running back. We’re not recruiting read option QB’s for a reason.

I tell you what JG lover, post his high school rushing stats for all of us to see (i'll even leave out his college rushing stats to make it easier for you). Do you buy the fact he was recruited as a "dual threat"? You and other lovers say stats are everything so i'll hang up and wait while you explain his wonderful rushing stats in his career. I'm patiently waiting

Its not about stats.

Its about you lying.

You keep saying JG and his family "reclassified" him with recruiting services as a DT qb to help his ranking.

THE RECRUITS AND FAMILY HAVE NO INFLUENCE ON THE POSITIONS AND RANKINGS THE SITES GIVE THEM.

The sites determined he was the number 2 DT QB. Take it up with them. Stop lying saying JG manipulated the rankings to seem like a better prospect. That is literally impossible.

Both have played in huge games, they’re similar runners, I think Bryant is a better thrower.

He could have rushed for one yard and if the RECRUITING SERVICES determined he was a DT then he was a DT.

You keep saying he and his dad labeled him a dual threat qb. They didn't.

i appreciate the name calling. I read somewhere that it was for his recruiting so i didnt make it up and pull it out of thin air. FACT IS he has never been a dual threat. If he ever was then he is regressing badly

Your smart ass acts like I’m trying to turn him into Tommy Frazier or some $#!t.....he is a pocket style QB that can run pretty damn good if he has to...that’s what I’m getting at....he’s a dual threat because of his running ability not because he is a runner first passer 2nd.....next.

In like a randall cobb like role. Not as our main qb. A few packaged plays through game. But mostly move him around a few at wideout few at running back. Full time qb id prefer either JG or Shrout.

If we only had an inside track or a scoop on the best players. It would be cool if we had a fan that like worked for Rivals, 247, or better yet, worked for an actual recruiting service. Just think what we could do if we had someone that could help coaches get players, give scoop on where all the top talent from high school is going and tell our coaches where the transfers are leaning. We would be able to get our talent level back within 2 years, easy!!!
