Hunter certainly has developed a set of alligator arms this year. Maybe staying in school to get an education (long term family plan) and postpone the NFl for a year is the best option for him? Certainly up to him to decide, we can only speculate, but he isn't doing himself a lot of good right now with his spotty play. CP has come in and taken over the #1 WR role from Hunter.
And replaced by a guy who actually makes catches? Certainly. Probably look a lot better. Maybe even good enough to come out and score in the first half and not play from behind all season long. Might win a game for once. If he is so good he "could" quit, he should quit. Give the spot to someone who wants to beat Bama. Not someone who has checked the **** out til Pro Day. Some/all of these kids are here to just be drafted. But if they are not a winner in college they most likely wont be a winner in the pros. Hard to "flip a switch". Has to be a constant effort. Maybe he shows up this week and fights for "his"team. Maybe he still has it on cc. Wont know til Saturday night. That is the hard part for the fans. We are not sure about the make up of our lead guys. It's getting better, but still flaky. At midseason.
LOL. Whatever dude. Some things are just more important than risking irreparably breaking your body while playing a game for free, especially when you can get paid millions for playing it next year as long as he doesn't get hurt again.. Get a little perspective.
play like a puss to get to the NFL or will he grow a set of balls and catch the ball regardless of getting hit?? i hope herman told him he better and if not they gonna injure him in practice. this me first bs has to stop. it's time to win and catching the ball when thrown your way helps do that.

Do you people not realize that this isn't something that affects him 100% of the day? It's a knee-jerk reaction. When you're about to catch say a ten yard pass and you notice that catching it could get you head knocked off then you hesitate and realize that those specific ten yards may not be worth the rest of your football career.
Also those saying Hunter isn't trying anymore, the only time he's quit was against UF when our whole team had given up, other than that he is out there running hard and attempting to get free from double coverage. If you believe anyone could come in and fill in Hunter's role next to CP then you are ridiculously mislead. Another factor that has dropped his production is the fact that the coaching staff has tried to limit the amount of deep balls thrown, Hunter's bread and butter.
The fact that anybody on here is calling one of our players a puss and personally attacking him is disgusting and just proves all the more how many lowlifes are apart of this fanbase. There is a correct way to discuss Hunter's drop in performance, but this is not it, see any of the other countless threads for the correct way instead of bashing one of the classiest guys on our team, and chose to come to UT even though this place was an absolute wreck when he got here.

Wow. Leader in the clubhouse for classiest post of the year. To answer your question, if he's smart he'll do the former. Getting paid to support the family you referenced should be priority number one.

Team is going nowhere, I would be playing for myself too.
He is the first WR taken if healthy. Whether you guys like it or not. You will see next year when we have nobody getting double teamed like him and CP, when they will be missed.
Common knowledge that it takes a player 2 full years to get back 100% from knee surgery. First year is physical recovery & the second year is mental recovery.
Look at Lattimore. Many of his runs have been tentative in the first part of the year. He doesn't have the same reckless abandon he had before the surgery.
Friend of mine had knee surgery 14 months ago. Completely healed but he still has questions in the back of his mind. Even little things like putting his foot down when he stops his motorcycle at a red light, he wonders if his knee is going to hold.
There is no way to speed up the mental process. Every one, athlete or regular joe, goes through it.
