You do realize that the type of earnings a typical college degree affords a person are chump change compared with those of a top-flight NFL WR? He could spend 10 years in the NFL and if he's smart with his earnings, never work another day in his life and provide for future generations of his family. Seems like it would be a no-brainer to do everything in his power to make the second option a possibility.
And THAT is symptomatic of the "I want it now" generation. There are more broke former NFL "stars" living off of handouts than there are college educated businessmen, teachers, or other careers. Even in today's weak economy that diploma is a certificate of trainability. A super bowl ring can only be pawned.
I wish Mr Hunter well in the NFL. He should wait until the NFL combine to end his college efforts.
