i would give my all including my body for a win for tennessee. you people on this board don't understand. most never will. he is not playing the game for free. he should be getting an education while he can, his scholarship is paying for him to be at tennessee, he could at least catch crucial balls that can help us win some big games. instead of being stone hands and a puss.
Nobody is arguing that point. We all agree.
What we don't agree with is the OP posting a ridiculous thread taking a low blow at JH's family (balls like he had when he got that woman pregnant??) and then wishing for him to get hurt in practice.
Family is #1. Period. If you have children and they aren't #1 in your life, you are a terrible parent. Period.
And yes.. I used the "." symble and said period. Because I'm cool like that. Period.

what happens if he gets hurt in the nfl?? he'll only make so much and have to quit and then what o what will he do?? work at mcdonalds cause he didn't get an education at tennessee?
here at tennessee and in my eyes you are remembered as a player by how you did on the field and off. on first comes into play second. a very close second. even if you do bad i will still thank you for your contributions to tennessee and wish you the best. but still. it's just the way it is.

mo couch has a family.. do you see him not giving his all???????????????? i don't think so.
I'm sorry- I don't post often. But you are an idiot.
So say JH "gives his body" for a win. They beat Bama but then say he blows out his knee again. Career ending. No NFL.
Are you going to pay his mortgage? Are you going to put his kid through college? No. The NFL is a way for him to provide a lifestyle for his family and secure a future not just for him but for his CHILD.
He has to be in a tough spot. On one hand, JH I am sure wants to be the guy to lead TN to a win over Bama tomorrow. But on the other, he doesn't want to get hurt because if he does- kiss that million-dollar security blanket goodbye.
I don't think he is actively going out there thinking "I'm going to be a puss today like that guy govols105 said about me on VN!". I don't think he is going out there saying "Don't get hurt don't get hurt don't get hurt". What I do think is happening is that he feels the pressure from both sides weighing on him. The pressure of winning and the pressure of providing for his family.
It is a lot for anyone, much less a college kid.
That is absolutely dead on. I applaud him for taking responsibility. However, I also believe that he owes it to himself and his team to say, "Coach, I can't go 100%" if he can't. He can take his chances in the NFL combines and probably do very well for himself. I would certainly hope that he is a big-time NFL success. However, he is in college and unless he will go 100% he should take the same responsibility and say so. At his best, he is one of the best. At less than that there are other options.
There have been times that his knee injury seems to have impacted the length of his arms. (Trust me, it would probably do the same thing to me!)
I'm all for the free expression of ideas.....but this is hilarious.
Justin Hunter has never been a physical receiver. He is a year removed from the most freak knee injury I've ever seen. He is little timid, but can you imagine what this offense would look like without him?
