His remark and attitude is correct and the whole team better be looking at it the same way...in some ways they resemble UK and we better be ready or we will be sitting red faced and complaining....Wright State is good and excited to prove themselves...and they figure they could not have gotten a better draw than Tennessee because they see us as very beatable....that is my take...
Pons is a disrupter. He is an excellent defender but not ready yet offensively. Fulkerson is starting to regain his old quickness and durability. The man hustles and should be a factor next season, I like Pons, Fulkerson and the other freshman big man - forgot name. Barnes can evaluate talent no doubt about it.
I agree about Fulkerson....Barnes said before the season he didn't expect him to be close until late January but I think its taken longer....actually you could tell in games where he was protecting his elbow/shoulder and couldn't commit on 50/50 plays especially...I think he's definitely getting closer...and next season should be back to 100% because when he is, his energy, defense, and bb IQ will definitely help this team....
I do feel like our guys have mostly gotten better later in the season, obviously including Bone and Schofield but also rotational guys like Fulk and Pons
Bowden has gotten worse. And Daniel seems to be turning it over more. Im concerned about the latter. Given the defenses we face in our region, we cant afford to turn it over.

Watched some of Wright State's win over Cleveland State in the Horizon championship game. Wasn't overly impressed, but still think they may good enough to pull off the upset if Tennessee plays sloppy and lets them hang around for too long.
Ultimately think the Vols win this one by a comfortable margin. Tennessee 73 Wright State 59.
Matchup I am really worried about is in the second round game. I think Loyola beats Miami, and Loyola will challenge us on both ends of the floor. They have 5 guys averaging double figure scoring. They shoot over 50% from the floor as a team and nearly 40% from 3. 24th in defensive efficiency and beat Florida early in the season.
Okay I'll give you the regular league championship which means NKU will have the same vantage point I will for the NCAA Tourney...on the sofa![]()
