Idk if anyone remembers but people thought JG was gonna be great when he was a backup. It’s been a common theme on here for as long as I’ve been a member. Everyone always thinks the backup QB is gonna be great

That’s not true. In 2007 we went 9-4 and finished 12th in the final poll with Ainge as the QB, ten spots higher than we ever got with Dobbs. And again, Lawrence is a pro-style and it’s dishonest to cite him otherwise.

Not dishonest to cite Lawrence as a DT. Certainly not Lamar Jackson level but did you see his 60 plus TD run against Ohio State in the playoffs. DB was right on his heels but could not run him down.

He was playing with our 3 rd string and walk ons. He didn’t look any worse than hooker or Milton to be honest . So that excuse I guess?

He was also playing against scrubs so it’s a wash.

Very true. If we're going to be honest, all 3 are flawed QBs. Each can win us some games and each can lose us games. After escaping JG purgatory, fans are grasping for any hope at the QB position. Sadly, we have what we have at QB this year. There's no more rocks to turn over looking for a savior. It's gonna be a rocky road this year. Take the wins and entertainment where you can find them.

Bailey should transfer. He could be great in a pro style offense. The kid got recruited by gump. It's not his fault his talent will be wasted here. Go somewhere that could prep him for the NFL.

Not only is Bailey slow, he plays wide-eyed, timid, and looking to others for support. He doesn't command that huddle. He might someday. Today is not yet that day. No swagger. Looks like Tinkerbell as he fairy steps into the end zone. He's third string for a good reason.

People wouldn’t be talking about the backup if we could finally have a decent starter.

Bailey overthrew his receiver on the long pass attempt. Just like Milton and Hooker. Makes you think it's being unwittingly taught since all three have the same deficiency.

He is obviously 3rd string right now, I am sure he can be the guy in the future.

They made plenty and moved the goal post like I knew they would.
Only seen a few that said yeah I see why he's qb3.
Didn't really see anything that made me think some power team would pick him up from the portal

Personally I wanted to see Bailey in the game with the #1s. This was a perfect scenario to start him in the third qt. With the first team, that would have been a better indicator of his game.

Oh I'm sorry, maybe I just imagined Jalen hurd getting playing time ahead of Kamara. Could've sworn even Kamara's mother was complaining about it. Maybe my memory is foggy.

It was in his first or second series. Most of the short to medium passes were right on target.

This has nothing to do with the argument you were making that Hurd was just an average SEC Rb. Hurd was a 5 star and very good SEC back. Kamara long-term has proven to be a very special back.
