Gun control debate (merged)

The fact that one can use other means does not disprove the FACT that guns are faster and allow someone like this to easily move from target to target. He could not have done what he did as easily or effectively with any other implement.

He went to a crowded spot where college kids hang out.

And you overestimate people's ability to hit targets from a moving vehicle. Don't even try to argue this point with me, you know you will not win...

And you say this with, what, first hand knowledge of perpetrating drive-by shootings?

What would have constituted a "social pariah" at your trashy Knoxville high school in the mid-90s might be a little different than how things worked, you know, at a Southern California high school in 2009. You recognize that... right?

Your obtuse world view is funny. I had kids like this one at my high school, the mannerisms, the "holier than thou" attitude, latent homosexuality. Most people ignored them.

Take a gander into the window of your soul dallasmp. It's almost like this kid has been reading your posts!

Watch out for the douche-chills!

You need to leave this thread right now. You don't have the intelligence or the ability to have a rational discussion on the matter, so go. Now.

Uh, yeah. You, one of the least reliable posters I've encountered, are providing anecdotal evidence regarding your experiences at a low-quality high school, 20 years ago, in a vastly different state.

Thanks for the input?

I'm sure he is an avid shooter..

You asked the question retard. :good!:

Dang, so bummed you don't find me reliable princess.

You said that someone shouldn't even try arguing this point with you because they "won't win," so I'm wondering what makes you so certain. Have you been involved in a drive-by shooting before?

And it seems as the answer to my question is, no, you don't see how there could be any sort of difference. Probably harkens back to your simplistic worldview and whatnot.

A wealthy kid in SoCal that is a social pariah..yeah that means he was a weirdo..same weirdos they had 10 years ago, 20 years ago, 30 years ago, etc. The real big difference is the fact people like you probably avoid getting their asses kicked on the regular, you know, with all of the anti-bullying campaigns nowadays.

I bet this kid had a penchant for 1980's John Hughes movies..

It's funny that you like to come in here with a huge condescending attitude...

But are woefully ignorant that you fail to realize some people actually have jobs that require them to fire from moving vehicles. And get training in such. Depending on your definition of vehicle, I know of two people already in this thread that fired from a moving vehicle for their job.

And what makes you think you're such a special snowflake to know what I have or have not done in my life?

Leave. Go. Now. Adios. Tschus. Bye bye.

His parent told him so!

Luckily this kid was a total morning with a limp wrist shooting style, otherwise there could have been more casualties.

The shooter is to blame, but turning yet another blind eye to the reality that guns were the mechanism is just stupid. I don't expect gun nuts to ever admit that the situation is out of control. To do so would mean you'd have to set aside your ego in favor of saving lives of people you don't know, from far away, and about whom you do not care.

When someone dies in a car accident where there was no mechanical failure of the vehicle, do we blame the car or the driver? The driver. When someone gets stabbed do we blame the knife or the stabber? The stabber.

When someone gets shot do we blame the gun or the shooter? The gun you say? It's illogical. Instead of teaching people guns are scurry mkay? Maybe we should teach young ones that guns (much like alcohol) are to be respected and used responsibly but that's thinking too logically isn't it?

I shot out of a MH-53 and MH-60, .50, 240, GAU-17/A. Do they count? I didn't hit sh!t. :eek:lol:

I'm assuming you had some time behind the GAUs?

Yep. Pray and spray worked best. Anytime I tried to hit a target it was a no go. I used to get double trigger happy and kick in the max rate of fire. The gunners didn't like that. Luckily that wasn't my day job.

I'm not sure how that proves we don't need to drastically restrict gun possession. Gun violence is an epidemic in this country. Just wish some one would stand up to the NRA and make some real inroads on this problem.

How about instead of restricting gun possession we educate? All you want to do is make it easy for the government and criminals (one in the same really) to get the squeeze on law abiding citizens

How many people do you know, I mean actual friends/coworkers/etc, murdered with a gun?

I'm guessing epidemic is another instance of you overblowing something.

Amen. That little turd did it with those dreaded assault handguns too.
