I believe the person was saying that Trump just wanted “anyone” to defend it against Russia or China. The problem is that if you’re protecting against nuclear warheads, you don’t want just “anyone” defending you.If he wants it, the last thing you would want is more military there.

But we’re talking about all the suckers of the Republican Party.. They’ll believe anything that gives them the warm fuzzies inside.
If Rubio offers nearly one Trillion dollars to Greenland, where does it come from? Borrow from China? Will China hold the title to Greenland as collateral, then repocess when will fail to pay?
We’re all broke because we outsourced manufacturing to 3rd world countries. We don’t produce more than we consume, so we accumulate debt to put off the inevitable crash. And Russia and China aren't coming anytime soon if at all.
The only thing I can think of is
1.) end nato
2.) have them cooperate with russia because of #1... they're broke
The US did not “call in Article 5” like you are implying.
Since you are A fan of AI
did the us ask for article 5 to be invoked
In the history of NATO
the United States has never formally asked for Article 5 to be invoked
While Article 5 has been triggered only once—following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks—the initiative for this action did not come from a U.S. request:
- Initiated by NATO: Following the 9/11 attacks, NATO Secretary General George Robertson suggested the invocation as a political statement of solidarity.
- U.S. Reluctance: U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell initially indicated the United States had no interest in making such a request, though it would not object if NATO's governing body, the North Atlantic Council, acted independently.
- Confirmation: On October 2, 2001, after receiving evidence that the attacks were directed from abroad, the North Atlantic Council confirmed the Article 5 invocation.
What did I make up? Has the EU been contributing their fair share? Why has the US had to lead the way in Ukraine? How many European bases are in the US?
I don’t know who you are or who you know.Neither China nor Russia are trying to take over Greenland.
You're argument boils down to "we have to take over Greenland before China or Russia do", when there's zero threat of China or Russia invading Greenland.
You might as well say we have to take over Greenland before Zimbabwe does.
As for South America, sovereign nations don't relinquish their sovereignty because they share the same hemisphere with the US.
If you won't want South American countries turning to China, then the first step would probably be "stop being an imperialist dick to South American countries."
Instead of insulting just try to listen.Oh reeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly. How so?
(This might be the worst post yet on this thread)
Instead of insulting just try to listen.
Greenlanders have done nothing wrong.
But if NATO has to chose between the allegiance of United States and our weapons (against Russian Aggression) or…Greenland.
Who do you think they will choose?
NATO have sent a combined force of soldiers as a display of force to engage military exercises with Denmark in Greenland.Instead of insulting just try to listen.

If you haven't figured it out by now, there is no amount of money the US won't print regardless of President, party or who controls congress. And the jacked up machinations the .gov will go through to essentially wipe out the debt overnight will not only make your eyes water, it should scare the daylights out of everyone. If China and everyone else can figure this out tonight, they'll stop buying our debt entirely by tomorrow morning. If Rubio offers nearly one Trillion dollars to Greenland, where does it come from? Borrow from China? Will China hold the title to Greenland as collateral, then repocess when will fail to pay?
Laughable.
NATO reports that all member states (except Iceland who has no military) are expected to meet the 2% of GDP defense spending guideline for 2025. Some Eastern and Northern European countries (e.g., Poland, Baltic states) already spend well above 2% of GDP and are boosting capabilities.
So, YEAH, the EU is contributing what they're supposed to with NATO.
Here's the real question, Pancho... do you want the US to be the "leader of the free world" or not? Or do you want us to be a self-centered bunch of pussies? Make up your mind.
If yes, we're gonna have our military bases overseas.
HINT: This is how things work, bro.
As for Ukraine, same situation: We're either the military leader of the world or not.
