Good looking team

Maybe we do end up 5-7...
But I'd be very surprised.
I lowkey think we have 9-3 , 10-2 talent.

This is a talented team.
We have a 5 star QB who might not even be starter because of other talented guys.

RBs that can play WR and RB about 4 deep
- Small ( runs hard)
- Beckwith ( plus power)
- Evans (plus power)
- Wright - can all do everything.

WRa that can run. Some ranked high in prep.
Others just talented
Hyatt 4*
Keyton 4 *
Calloway 4*
Payton 4 *
Jones - All Conference Return Man
And MORE!

Big strong higley ranked OL. Two 5 *s starting at the tackles and big strong men in between.

And the DEFENSE is just littered with athletic fast dudes that are relatively unknown.

10-2.
And I ain't saying it's going to be Florida .

I'm ready for this!!
Hope it happens but I know it isn’t. We’re too thin and an injury derails the Oline now. I just don’t see the depth at certain positions to go 9-3

Heard this before. If we go 7-5 that’ll say positive things about the future
I would rather see 8-4 but I think you are close. I'll have questions if they lose 6 games against this schedule... and those questions will be answered more or less if they lose 7 unless there are some really extraordinary circumstances.

I would like to see them competitive in every game. Some call it a "moral victory" but I think losing to Bama by 18 rather than 40 would be an indicator that the team is getting coached up and doesn't quit under adversity.

IMHO, UGA and Bama clearly have more talent. UF IMO has more talent but not to the degree of the other two. I think Ole Miss may be "close" to UF as far as being an unlikely win. I think the other 8 games are very winnable if the coaching is good.

With the cupcake games back on the schedule, the we are back dreamers will be vocal with a 6-6 or 7-5. Means nothing, much like Pruitt's win streak. I think it is unlikely New Coach will win any more conference games this year than Last Coach did in 2020.
The Vols lack experience, talent , depth and coaching to have a winning SEC record.

I love how record predictions go up right before the season starts.

I’m at 4-8 with excitement for every win over that. If we haven’t been a dumpster fire for the past decade i’d say this year should be 8-4.

Vols possession:
3rd and 3
1:25 to go in the 4th QTR at midfield
UT 24- UGA 22 no timeouts for the Bulldogs
Vols come out 3 wide with Fant off tackle.
6'5 230 lb Dee Beckwith the lone back.
Calloway goes in motion...
The snap and the handoff to Beckwith!
He cuts to the outside and turns the corner, finally dragged down after a 32 yard gain!
BALL GAME!!
Hummm?? That would be a dream come true right there. To watch me faint with excitement and watch Uncle Lou tear up another tv.😂😂

Just glad to see players that WANT to play for a staff.
that will rapidly change as the losses pile up and then the players will just go through the motions,
I have heard the same about our past coaches to the point of not believing a word of it anymore.
Winning cures all.
We do not win meaningful games
We change out coaches, always selling false hope for the future.

Honestly most of the guys do a better job of predicting last year's results in their "previews". Somehow they forget that few teams reload like Bama and that teams like UK don't lose 10 NFL caliber players and not have a big dropoff.

But... that isn't important since next year their inaccurate predictions will be forgotten and people hungry for CFB will buy their stuff again.

I'll be pleased with 6-6 given what we did last year. 7-5 is certainly possible, but so is 5-7. Getting to a bowl game is paramount though. I just want to see progress on both sides of the ball and a team that wants to play for their coach.

6-6 would be relatively equal to the 2020 record, 5-7 would be worse.

Top 20 recruited talent but 3 wins last season. Team will look much different on both sides of the ball. Game 1 will say a lot for how the season will go. If they look sharp and ready 8-9 wins. If not 5 wins.

Truth is op is right. The only teams we’ll play with significant s talent advantages are Florida, Georgia, and of course Alabama. But it’s been like that so often over the last decade and we keep ending up 7-5 or 6-6 (or even worse). This program has just been cursed so who knows what’ll happen.
