Friday weigh in thread (suns out guns out challenge 8/31/2025)

Not even stepping on the scale. Fell out of my riding regimen with the news of my cousin’s passing. I’ve been making plans for a trip to NY to attend her memorial service.

Decided to weigh in early out of curiosity. Pleasantly surprised at 177.8. At least I know that I can pig out on vacations and take it off quickly after returning to my regular routine. It’s all about dedication and consistency.

This is so true, a little more than 1.5 weeks ago I had way too much pizza, chips, and dessert on dnd night with some buddies. I may or may not have eaten 5000+ calories that day..... I bloated up that weekend, but just returned to normal eating. n
Now I'm lower than I've ever been and I've had a great 1.5 weeks of weight loss.

As long as you're consistent the vast majority of the time, some craziness won't ruin what you have.

I love days like that 😂

If I eat junk now it will kill me.
That really helps with deciding what to eat too.
100%. I elimited a LOT of trash I was eating and drinking. And it is amazing what that did.

The warm up in the workout video I did this morning included this stretch. And I said, "I can't do that......oh wait, yes I can!" Amazing!

And find good foods you really enjoy. The best way to not fail is to not suffer.

Just saying

I have discovered also just being able to make simple meals that are healthy and taste great really helps. If your meals are complicated and take lots of prep time, it can lead to burn out.

For example, I usually have a pork loin, oven-cooked potato wedges, and steamed broccoli once a week. It’s less than 500 calories, tastes delicious, and is so easy. Just throw the pork loin in the oven for 45 minutes. The only prep is cutting the potatoes. And it’s also a meal you can easily mix and match. You can have rice instead of potatoes, green beans or carrots instead of broccoli, etc.

Exactly.
I don’t eat pork personally but the concept is exactly what is needed to keep me on track
