A female UT cheerleader beat the crap out of him while was a student there.

Disclaimer: I am not saying that is a true story, but then again, I am not saying it is not a true story.

You misheard, he tried out to be a cheerleader and was denied. Hairline was already receding and he's been upset ever since. :)

Paul has a proven track record of success. He caters to an audience made-up partly of hicks, who evidently begin drinking before lunch. And he purposely says provocative things hoping to incite them to call in and rage over the phone while he smirks at the camera. The more casual viewing audience eats it up. It's like watching some kind of drunken midget demolition derby.

And he's made a lot of money off of doing this, so don't expect him to change. Who knows if he even believes half of what he says.

The sheer amount of auto correct in this thread almost makes it impossible to read.

My take:

IT is going to win, even though a lot of his fans make excuses. Can clowns play football?

Paul Finebaum is referred to as WE. I'm negative but he'll never be considered as company when I say we.

Hard to disagree with them since we haven't won in the swamp since 03. Plus our coach is Butch Jones and hes already making excuses for why we may lose Saturday saying we've got 27 players who have played in the swamp before like that means anything

He does that every game. I don't really put much into it.

I usually have it one when I am doing stuff around the house. But I agree with you. 90% of the show is homers calling in saying other regular calls are homers.

I've only been a Vols fan for about 10 years so I have no where near the knowledge most of you have. Can someone please educate me why he hates UT so much?

I heard him say before he was a big Bear Bryant fan growing up in Memphis.

Both Paul and Mike are out of touch with reality, the only difference being Paul is a national Bama hommer while Mike is a regional Tennessee homer. That being said 17-4 is a nice record over the last 21 games but UT left a few on the field and in doing so left itself and coaching staff open to criticism. I think I heard or read somewhere CBJ is 5-4 or 4-3 against top 25 teams here lately so that's not a terrible stat.

I think that is partly why Paul picked on the 17-4 comment. Can't be selective. Just like Butch is 3-3 against last 6 to play 25, he was 1-18 before that.

Some people are afraid to admit the 17-4 is pretty good. 😬

Also one of only 12 P5 schools to win 20 games since 2015.

We can do better, but that’s not bad. It’s progress.

It's a LOT better than fighting to get a bowl game but to get to the next step, excuses need to be a thing of the past. Same thing with scheduling other P5 teams, other SEC blue bloods aren't afraid to do it. Neither should UT be. UT should be mentioned with the teams who just played big name teams. Bama/FSU UF/UM UGA/ND. Should want the best of the SEC waving the SEC banner.

Excuses are just reasons for losing. If we win more, there will be no reason for excuses.

I’m pretty sure Tennesssee has had some of the toughest schedules in the country recently.

Did we not just play Oklahoma and Oregon recently? Virginia Tech was better when we scheduled them. We have Oklahoma and Nebraska on future schedules.

Who’s your team again? Georgia?

I saw it and MG was a complete rube. Just a mouthpiece. I reacted the exact same way PF did.

MG did nothing to help promote the Tennessee program. He basically took the poor old Tennessee approach...3 games in 13 days.... Dave hart should've never scheduled that GT game... Tennessee shouldn't even play these marquis ooc games, they have to play Alabama... And lsu....poor Tennessee.... They're gonna lose Saturday because of all this...

Pure and absolute garbage.

Griff is setting the stage.

I can't wait for the day that Saban retires and Alabama falls apart, that dude will be back to some low class local Bama radio station and be forgotten

For one thing he is 61 years old, so he has seen a lot of sports.

Then he needs to use that experience and knowledge to improve a terrible show. Again, there is nothing on that show to keep me in the audience. One persons opinion and God gave me a thumb to flip on past the channel. Thank you Jesus!
