Finebum is a bum....

For one thing he is 61 years old, so he has seen a lot of sports.

You're high. In case you haven't noticed, Finebaum barely understands how the game is played. He offers no technical commentary and only knows the "popular" players. Ask him a technical question and he'll move on. He knows more about tennis and botany than football.

I do realize its made for tv, and who the audience is. And the two are friends.

Probably some showmanship involved... Perhaps.

Still thought it was a ridiculous display.

Honestly, a lot of UT fans and staff DO always make excuses. Let's be real here. I mean our head coach starts excuses before the game is even played.

Finebaum tells it like it is. He doesn't get paid to be a Tennessee homer though he earned his degree here. Reality bites and someone needs to keep people grounded in reality. This thread is much ado about nothing. :weird:

Paul told the truth. This is the 5th year of excuses from Butch. Who cares that we have to play Bama every year. That is a rival. Quit crying about it and go find a good coach and beat them.

I'm tired of the excuses also but those making jokes about the 3 games in 13 days probably didn't play anything in college but with themselves

If anything it's a issue for the middle game which was ISU (by design). UT sit several guys last week and several others saw less work.

It's overplayed at this stage. Other than the guys gone for the year, UT is in good shape for this game.

What is this silly excuse of scheduling 3 games in 13 days I keep seeing? Actually it is 3 games in 12 days (Sept. 16 - Sept. 4 = 12 days, not 13) Normal Saturday games are 3 games in 14 days and there are a lot of Thursday night games with 3 games in 12 days. We had a Labor Day time slot on national TV and we won. Jeez what a whiny bunch of fans we have.

So a baseball team that plays on consecutive days has 2 games in one day?

Then he needs to use that experience and knowledge to improve a terrible show. Again, there is nothing on that show to keep me in the audience. One persons opinion and God gave me a thumb to flip on past the channel. Thank you Jesus!

I hate the show but sometimes watch portions of it. The part I detest is the over the top regular callers. Clearly it's sort of staged in a world wrestling federation kind of way. I'm guessing the show is very successful financially because it caters to the sort of people who slow down on the highways to see the wreck - which is most people. The show is sort of a circus act and PF is the clownish ringmaster and yes it's a waste of time but if you're doing something else it's probably okay to have it on in the background. That way you can say you weren't really watching it. :)

I will never understand the entertainment value of that show.

Agreed. He is really boring. The success comes when any SEC fan get mad about something he said. That's how he makes his money. Watching him is worse than watching paint dry.
