I find it ironic that spell check on VolNation doesn't recognize the word "VolNation."

If VolNation were an Apple run website, the spell check would automatically capitalize the word properly and add a little TM symbol to it.

They dont know much from what I'm gathering from his speech that just ended. They know it was bombs that were detonated, and he called it an act of terrorism. Updates to come when they find out more, but everything else is speculation. Im paraphrasing but thats what he said.

So basically he wasted his, the reporters, and our time by repeating the same information we had yesterday. Most useless briefing ever.

Hey, he had to say something right? We all expect a President to say something. Not his fault they have not uncovered the details any further. Dont jump on him for that.

I'll take what he said to be as candid and his statement yesterday. He's handled this pretty good so far imo.

He doesn't use the words evil or terror three hours after the explosions and gets criticized for that. Today, when more is known, he does, and gets criticized for that.

And people wonder why the motives of the far right in their incessant and often irrational whining about him are ever questioned.

BS, havent you come to the conclusion yet that until the president uses the term "terror" himself, in the flesh, that he isn't doing his job? He said "terror", so the briefing was a success.

Why couldn't he say this yesterday? They were acts of terror and evil, obviously much more than "an event"

I have to agree. I get that he wants to show his face to calm the American people, but if it's a rehash of yesterday there was no point, and I'm sure he had other important tasks on his plate. I would rather him work than be a mouthpiece.

But again, if the majority of the country needed it, then good for them; I just don't feel the need, haha.

I have zero doubt somebody on here would b**** and moan about how the president doesn't care because he hasn't addressed the nation again today. Somebody will always find something wrong.

They are going to give periodic press conferences to update the country. Obama is expected to be the face at these press conferences. If he weren't there, people would criticize him for thinking that this wasn't a major issue, and that he wasn't concerned about the bombing.

Good lord. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I would hate to have the responsibility of the president.
