Not worth the money. Big man that misses close shots with foot issues never ends well. Our FT percentage also went up.Hate JP went to Michigan, but JP played hard and tried to do things right while here. No hate here. Hope he does well unless we play him and I hope we destroy his team and keep him from scoring.
Not really. He was leaving for somewhere. This isn’t embarrassing at all. What happened last weekend was embarrassing. Spending big for a guy with chronic foot issues may end up being embarrassing. If UT wanted him that badly , they’d have paid more and kept him. It’s not embarrassing if your rival starts dating your girlfriend after you let her walk. He didn’t steal her from you. She wanted you to go to the outlet mall every weekend and you just weren’t willing to make that sacrifice, so you cordially part ways. He can have her and you wish them happiness as long as she doesn’t crash your wedding.Michigan is just bending us over at this point it’s humiliating
Wouldn’t go that far. A counterpoint would be thst he played through pain all year to help your team accomplish its goals. I can’t blame UT for not wanting to pay as much as UM did, and I can’t blame him for leaving. He’s not a bad player, but he’s a risk imo with the foot issues , and can be a defensive liability. Hes perfect for Michigan and they are perfect for him. What an ingrate, we stuck with him when he was injured and struggling and now that he is beginning to contribute he bolts.
You are probably right, I don’t know what the salary difference is. But it’s really frustrating to keep saying be patient, be patient and when the guy finally starts to produce he leaves. Watching guys develop was always one of the best parts of college basketball and now it’s gone.Wouldn’t go that far. You can still watch him develop, fwiw. You are probably right, I don’t know what the salary difference is. Well when he shot a 2 or 3 footer hook or even normal shot sans dunks, he and Felix both, I expected a miss and a lot where but we were a good O rebounding team. Those 2 missing so many close bunnies & re-rebounding some, helped our O rebounding%, which can be a iffy merit.Wow, Estrella signing with Michigan…now we are about to see how Michigan develops Estrella even better
Yes he did. From several schools.I only see posts of folks stating Michigan overpaid. The young man was inconsistent at TN. He was an avg player at best with an upside if he can stay healthy. He is an avg defender at best w/ limited offensive game.
But again, he didn’t get close to $3 mil. If that is what is being reported then it’s from his agent who is trying to inflate the number to attract new clients.
Estrella only had limited offensive upside in a "Rick Barnes" offense. Barnes is a defensive coach. I guarantee Estrella has better offensive numbers at Michigan.I only see posts of folks stating Michigan overpaid. The young man was inconsistent at TN.
