A dominating defense and an adequate offense that doesn't turn the ball over a lot, you could definitely be in the hunt.

Well, considering Saban is going for his 6 NC in 9 years or so, I'd say defense wins championships 2/3 of the time.

Defense still wins games and titles, but you have to have some offense too.

That's why Auburn got BAMA this year. BAMA had no offense in the Iron Bowl this year, and the BAMA defense was on the field way too long.

Great defense wins, but you gotta give them a rest with a decent offense too, especially in the second half.

BAMA is a perfect example of a team that can win with great defense. Just ask Clemson
