Dobbs is not the answer

We had throwing QBs who couldn't run for 12 years--and we were bad. We need a simple short drop passing game, mostly because our protection sux badly and also because Dobbs needs to find his confidence again. I think Bajakian is part of the problem.

Maybe I'm just old school, but this offense is boring. I still believe in the wide-open, full throttle offenses like Cutcliffe ran.

Kentucky has an OC opening now -- steer Bajakian to it

His throws have been horrible. He doesn't process the defense fast enough either.

Watch for 1 of the early enrolling freshman, to make a big push for PT next year.

You need your laptop taken away until you sober up. The second poster also needs his taken away!

Nope. You can't honestly tell us that your impressed with Dobbs ability to complete a pass. When he misses he misses bad, which is about every third pass he throws. Don't take this as me being anti Dobbs because I am not. But his consistency is a very big concern. The problem is that he has been consistently inaccurate. Not getting worse but not getting any better either.

Earlier when this issue was brought up, the consensus answer seemed to be that because of his lack of play it has to be a timing issue. Its not. He just flat out makes bad throws. I know that's not gonna be popular around here, but its true. Whats the popular saying around here, "If you can't see that then your blind"? It may apply here.

He has a pretty good completion percentage, but that's misleading because of all the passes out to the flat on screens and swing passes. When you have no intermediate or vertical game, defenses will do exactly what Mizzou and Vandy did. Its pretty evident that because of his accuracy issues the playbook is considerably limited. Yes, the oline is one big problem and one big reason that any of our QB's will struggle. But, that's not the problem with his accuracy.

He is absolutely dynamic when he runs the ball and makes things happen and I'm glad we have him. But you gotta be able to throw the ball to be successful in this league.

Heisman Winner Winston threw 4 Ints at home today.

Josh will be fine when the offense is more balanced. We had nothing but his guts today, and I'm proud of him.

I said last year Justin Worley was our best hope to get to a bowl...I said after Dobbs came in he was our best chance...now someone else will have to step up if we are going to win 8 games next year. We can't win with a QB that can't consistantly make throws 40 & 50 yards downfield...I still like the kid a great deal and thank him for his service.

There hasn't been a QB in history that can consistently make throws of 40 & 50 yards.

Sounds like a couple of guys sitting around the bar deciding to post anti Dobbs messages. I for one appreciate what this young man has done. He will improve over this season, as will the O-line. We're going Bowling...smile for a change.

Wes Rucker -
After being on field for post-game stuff, I’ve got to say I think the wind was at least a small factor in both teams throwing so many INTs.

This was seriously weak sauce Boro

It wasn't at that point of the game....it was looking very much like last year at that point. Thank God it wasn't.

I'm thrilled we won and am working on making my bowl plans as we speak. I love this team, and have even praised Dobbs for his contributions this year. Pointing out obvious shortcomings in his game doesn't change that.

What's weak sauce are the constant "soon" comments every time some of us post.

For you and the 6 people that "Liked" your post, here's your crow! Take Dobbs out of this game and we lose by 10 points or more. You do realize he was responsible for 181 of our 262 yards?

Absolutely.....against Vandy we win. Against a good defense he's extremely vulnerable and easy to scheme for.

Thank heavens for him the second half of the season....that doesn't mean he's a recipe for success going. I hope he is....but somebody has to get him to see the other half of the field.

Just give it a rest. You look pitiful

Just ignore the haters bro.

We never trailed and my faith in this team never wavered today - didn't check the time when you posted, but I can say I never thought we'd lose this game.
