. . . and he tried to talk most of them into staying home from classes the morning after his press conference and announcement that he was jumping ship to USuCk. Kiffin's orders to Orgeron to call those guys (during or immediately following the press conference, by the way) was the most telling example of what that guy is and what he stands for.
I know he left behind some good players . . . and there's probably a good argument that he did some things that helped re-energize the program, but Lane Kiffin is a disgrace as a man. He has no integrity and no professionalism. He came in, ran his mouth and drug our program down into the dirt (a place where Phil Fulmer, despite all his faults, never took us). Then, after Kiffin talked a big game about "building a championship program" and about his long term commitment to UT, he takes off in the middle of the night to be the head coach at a program that was sanctioned by the NCAA for violations that occurred when he was an assistant coach at that same school.
Lane Kiffin is scum. Derek Dooley appears to be a solid coach and, so far, a man of character. We'll see if that turns out to be case with Dooley. One thing is certain: Kiffin has already proven what kind of low life he really is.
