Cordcutter for almost 2 years.
Should have done it sooner.
Have 2 Roku Units and a Roku TV with Sling Blue (no ESPN)
I "borrow" ESPN from the account of family member and watch through their App separately. Same with a few other stations not on Sling Blue package.
I have Amazon Prime and Netflix
I actually subscribe to the CBS app as well and is thus the only local channel I receive. The CBS app is actually quite excellent as well for all their old shows are online as well.
My ISP is Charter and has been consistently good usually exceeding 60. Had a problem a few weeks ago and traced it back to a bad coax splitter that I fixed myself.
Had tried VUE and did not not like
We try a rather communal experience with other friends on sharing logins and such on occasion.
Not to sound like a damn hipster, but I'm actually better off with what I have now. I watch ESPN very rarely if not college football season.
My wife and myself have binge watched quite a bit of stuff (just got done with all the seasons so far of "Silicon Valley)
My kids (14 and 9) RARELY - if ever watch live tv
Due to terrain, I really have no reception of OTA stations despite living fairly close to Knoxville.
So my payouts are for
Sling: $ 25.00
Netflix: + 10.00
Prime: + 10.00
CBS: + 6.00
ISP: + 64.99
Total: $115.99
As some of my favorite shows have gone off, I'll likely drop CBS. Especially if I could get an antennae to better get locals.
I would drop Amazon Prime for streaming but it's mainly for shopping now anyway. I should remove from my list.
