Your opinion is one of those that I wipe my arse with. I'm willing to be you were on Fulmers side when he got canned? I got an idea.. if you like watching losing programs in TN keep to MTSU or TN State. We like to win on this side of the state!!!

WBIR sister station WFMY reported that Cutcliffe is returning to the University of Tennessee to be the new head coach, based on the word of a reliable source close to Cutcliffe.

However, WBIR contributor Brent Hubbs of Volquest.com is reporting he's spoken to Cutcliffe personally--and Cutcliffe told him that report is not true.

Fellow WBIR contributor Chris Low of ESPN.com is also reporting that Cutcliffe has said no deal has been made.

If Cutcliff is hired then i will not renew my season tickets and alot of others wont either. Kentucky hasnt beaten us in 20+ years but they will in 2010. This will be a dark day in the history of Tennessee football.

I think Cutcliffe would be a great hire for Tennessee. He did a great job while Fulmer was around.

You can't base his head coaching experience on his performance at Duke. Duke is a hard place to be a football coach. With this hire, you should save some recruits, and definitely be back in the running within a few years.

I think he would be a great hire for the Tennessee program. Are there any other names floating around that you'd rather have? I heard Muschamp, but he's laid that to rest, so I'm just curious who the Vols would want over Cutcliffe?

I just want you guys to make it to an SEC Championship game against Bama. I think that would be of epic proportions this day in age. Of course you know who I would want to come out on top, but I've said it before, and I'll say it again.. Tennessee is a historically successful program, and I wouldn't have it any other way than Bama vs Tenn for the SEC. I hope you guys get back to owning the East soon.

I hope I'm wrong, but I can't for the life of me understand why a never-been-head-coach dipshirt like Muschamp would turn down a top program like Tennessee unless there is something coming down.

THIS IS NOT TRUE! Even if Cutcliffe is our man he will not be official till tomorrow. Kippy is scheduled for an interview tomorrow (per ESPN, I believe) so don't expect a hire tonight! ........We can all just speculate and circulate rumors until then!

i will bet the official attendance for not 1 game next year will be below 90,000 this is rediculous would everyone stop being cry babies and MAN UP its still Tennessee

i like how all the old guys want a coach from the past get a high profile coach=high profiled recruits low profile coach=low profile recruits you figure it out ......
