Apples to oranges in terms of how to evaluate the coaches IMO.
The two coaches you refer to were at there respective schools for 17 and 15 years. They both started with with programs that were already at the level Tennessee is at right now. Neither had to rebuild a roster. Neither had to rebuild the culture.
And it took one, Fulmer, 5 or 6 years (depending upon how you look at the split year) to win the SEC.
The rebuild talk is almost comical anymore. You mention SC or Vandy 16' and you re living in the past and need to move on. The starting point is no longer relevant. UGA and UF have both fired coaches since Jones has been here.
Fulmer actually had to beat a legitimate UF team to even get the chance. Jones hasn't run in to one of those yet. And won't this year with UF or UGA.
Your point was what shouldn't get Jones fired. Fulmer won the division with 10 wins the season prior to getting fired and he actually had some legitimate hardware in the trophy case.
