This is really hard to answer. I can't speak for Kim or how things ran in the locker room or behind closed doors. But several things were very clear.I get it the players are leaving. But name one of them that didn’t play with their own agenda this year. Not one of them acted like they were playing with a teammate they wanted to be on the court with other than the sisters.
Personally, I’m glad Cooper is leaving. Yes she was a heck of an offensive player. But her defense was nonexistent 95% of the time, she was lazy as he!!, and definitely was NOT a team player. It was all about 55. That was the problem with the majority of our team….selfish.
There are a few that I hate to see go, but to have a good team, you have to have: 1st - players that want to win for the Lady Vols & 2nd - players that play hard, with good attitude & no quit in them.
My $0.02

May be a good thing. A team is collective unit. We had too many individuals. It was embarrassing and locker room was a mess.
Please tell me the boosters are coming up with a plan to get this woman out next year and the AD put in his place.... like what is going on right now should be infuriating everyone including Candace ParkerThis is a full reset with zero continuity, zero leadership, and no identity. Chemistry isn’t something you flip on in October. Leadership doesn’t magically appear when everyone is new. That stuff gets built over time—and right now, there’s nothing to build on. If you thought this year looked bad, wait until you see a group of girls who barely know each others names.
This is really hard to answer. I can't speak for Kim or how things ran in the locker room or behind closed doors. But several things were very clear.
1) For the most part, Kim recruited athletes who weren't great at putting the ball in the basket (hence the plethora of O-boards we were fortunately able to get and sometimes put back in)
2) The kids she recruited did not mesh well. Some of that is on them (attitude especially Barker IMHO), and maybe others.
-But some of that is on Kim for not fostering a team environment and constantly pitting them against each other (ie. starter plays poorly just 1 game, you are coming off the bench the next game)
3) Kim taught almost no offense. A few passes, jack up a 3, crash the O-boards. As a team we shot just over 30% from 3. Not good enough to make that your primary offense.
4) The front of the press was solid. The rest of the defense was like swiss cheese.
5) The hockey line sub pattern was a disaster. Not the right players and IMHO not effective for a high-end WCBB team. There's a reason literally no other team in the top 50 plays that way.
I'm disappointed for sure, but at this point, just beaten down. The hits just keep coming. Just sad.

dont read to much into what i was trying to say. Im talking about body language from them most of the time. they just looked uninterested so often. So you mean to tell me Kim recruited or kept each player that didn’t fit her system? The same people praising the uconn win and sweet 16 need to realize those same girls Coop and Zee especially were the same girls everyone couldn’t wait to see grow in the system… maybe it’s not the players so much as it is the coaching staff! You had an established coach get the F outta town to move him and his aging mom for the same salary in the same conference
we gotta stop ignoring the signs right in front of our faces
Absolutely, why is Cooper getting a pass for her lack of effort and just overall lack of caring about the LV in general. She's not alone in thet at all. You can add Barker, Zee, and Nya to that list. I really dont know why Kim even stays. This is beyond fixable, at least it looks like to me. This is a total mess.Prior to this season maybe. Mostly lack of hustle and questionable attitude this season IMO
