Yes, it is a mess. What has been done to our legacy is unbelievable! The entire team is gone and she has to get an entire team from the portal! She needs to go and we better get a coach that will be willing to fight every day to save this program! I can only imagine what was going on behind the scenes. I can ponder a strong assumption that they have nothing near the magnitude of an organized fan social forum for their women’s program. I can bet they are bummed. We had practice at this during Beldar's demise. BVS even made the Journal of Psychology

I don’t know what makes me think this, but I suspect Donde Plowman knows enough about basketball to know why the Lady Vols kept having opponents running layup drills on us in 25-plus-point blowouts this season. Surely to goodness she is aware how horribly Tennessee is being painted in the media right now and how the snowball just keeps rolling and growing bigger every day.

Here we are in March Madness, even, and yet this debacle in Knoxville is managing to suck quite a bit of attention, ALL of it profoundly negative, during this important time of the year.

Plowman needs to step in, IMO. Her university is a punchline right now.

Absolutely, why is Cooper getting a pass for her lack of effort and just overall lack of caring about the LV in general. She's not alone in thet at all. You can add Barker, Zee, and Nya to that list. I really dont know why Kim even stays. This is beyond fixable, at least it looks like to me. This is a total mess.

Kim is staying for the money she's making. No other P4 program will hire her and she must know that. Best case: She can buy some players that will win against the non-conference non-P4 teams. But she won't have any shot of a finish near the top of the SEC. Worst case: Nah, you don't even want to think about it.

You know we still finished tied for 6th in the SEC final standings last season, right? We still LONG ways from the bottom. Kim waxed Kellie's Mizzou team by 40 last season still I think. Relax. We gonna be fine.

How do you define fine? It looks like a train wreck. This is unless CKC can keep Civil, bring in O and the other freshman and recruit a bunch of high percentage three shooters who can play fact pace women to woman defence. Playing hockey style, she is gonna need 10 of them. Most five-stars want to be coached up to the next level and most teams believe that your best five players should be on the floor most of the time. I am not saying hockey-style basketball will not work but you need a certain type of ball player with similar talents and skillsets where they are interchangeable who play with the same intensity and you have very little fall off.

I get it the players are leaving. But name one of them that didn’t play with their own agenda this year. Not one of them acted like they were playing with a teammate they wanted to be on the court with other than the sisters.

It shows the destruction of a program with no leadership to allow an entire roster to leave. Name one other school that has only 1 player left on roster. Rick Barnes has guys that want to KLS for him and KC does not have anyone interested in her little gimmick.

If my house is on fire and your house is on fire, my house is still on fire.

I suspect that Iowa St. probably is lacking in funding support compared to the Big 10 and the SEC schools so some players may be looking for greener pastures. It makes sense that Crooks would want to maximize her value. It is just not clear what kind of pro prospect she will be so get the bag while you can.

So the only message left was the roster itself… a steady stream of exits that started before the season even ended.

What are the frustrations from the players? Is CKC personally? Her system?

These developments both break my heart and make me furious. What competent player, who could play at another division one program, will reasonably want to take a chance on coming to Knoxville to play for an inexperienced coach with a unique “system”who just lost her entire team? This is particularly concerning given the absolute silence from the coach, the athletic department and the schools’ administration about how they intend to approach and solve the dilemma. Silence is not golden in these circumstances. Someone in authority needs to speak up and explain what happened and how it is going to be remedied. It is nearly impossible to believe that there is going to be a long line of young athletes willing to risk their futures on what appears to be a sinking (or sunk) ship. Limiting public comments to “every ‘ting gonna be alright” is irresponsible.

The definition of a Cluster. Kim has her coaching style and has shown no inclination to change it. Would Pat have changed her style in this contentious atmosphere? Doubt it but she had the cred to back it up with players and fans alike. Kim doesn’t ,so what does she do?

She doesn’t know another style to “teach”.
