Yeah back to the day when women knew their place and schools were segregated, white made right, nazis were killing Jews, atomic bombs were dropped and kids 'fell' down stairs. Such a great time.
This x 1000
Why? B/c this happened less then than now and the standards/expectations of civil society were much higher.
While I hope mother and baby are doing fine, the statistics for unwed mothers and the welfare of the children ON AVERAGE (not saying JRM fits that category) are horrendous.

Births to Unmarried Women | Child Trends
I'm a single parent with full custody of a nine year old girl. She was born a month after my 21st birthday. I finished my undergrad at MTSU, worked full-time, and did it all w/o the help of a second parent. Now I own a house in East Nashville, make 6 figures and my child is an honor student at one of the best schools in the state. Also, I'm a white male.
Don't need some bygone era or another parent to be successful and happy. Just work hard, stay humble, and be kind.

I'm taking it as he meant that Vols were pretty darn good around that time period? It's bad though to assume he was thinking of all the negative things. Be careful judging people of past decades and time periods one day people will do the same for us and our time...we are after all the most materialistic and narrsasitic generation in the history of man.
Well this conversation took a turn.
Translation: Congrats JRM.
what about you panzie Vols? I mean you guys throw the nega Vol around left and right lolYour not a kidding. It didn't take long to hear Nega Vol, and other off the wall remarks in this post.
Back to the matter at hand. Congrats to JRM and his spouse for thery'e beautiful baby girl. Now the fun begins 😁 Lol.
I'm sure this "holier-than-thou" crowd never had sex before marriage or in college. The 1940's "where it was wrong to have a kid out of wedlock, but perfectly fine to make another race go out back to eat at a restaurant, move to the back of a bus, or were made to seem inferior if you weren't white" great times those were.
Congrats JRM for stepping up to the plate and being a father!
I don't see a holier than thou crowd at all. There are multiple posts referring to them but I don't see them. To repeat I did not know because the child's last name was his hyphenated last name. If it was construed as a judgement on him then you were the one thinking it.
