CJP compares program to Titanic

This was was what he was alluding to but I think metaphor of the program being a sinking ship is more fitting. One has to laugh that a coach in his situation would make a Titanic comparison to anything.
People cab turn anything into rat poison.

Brando on PF just said him saying this is a quick way to get shipped out of knoxville. Says he's a PR nightmare and needs help with press conferences. Lol

With all the sensitivity these days, it's a good thing Pruitt didn't mention something like a hobnail. Apparently bringing back the Barrel would be verboten ... even if keeping it was a sure thing. Probably gonna have to drop "stud" when defining tough players, too.

Pretty apt description IMO.

Of course, is it a good idea to describe it that way when you're the captain of the ship?

Probably not.

Pru could have reached into his kit bag of historical analogies to allude to the shivering, outnumbered, starving troops at Valley Forge.

Or if he wanted to go farther back, he might have referenced the Israelites wandering around the desert for forty years.

Played well at times, actually very well. If they finished drives, it’s a blowout. 8 times in the RZ with one TD.

Are you implying that eight times in the red zone with only one touchdown is in some way a positive or sign for hope? Am I understanding you right?

It is actually one of the greatest indictments of all.

Let's see, our OL were Jack (scrawny when Pruitt showed up)
Pruitt is the captain (going down with the ship)
Hamilton is the iceberg (Did fatal damage to program)
Butch Jones is Celine Dion (My "5 star heart" Will go On)
Derek Dooley is the guy who rearranged the chairs
Lane Kiffin is the loudmouth who said the Titanic was unsinkable
Greg Schiano is Rose's fiancé who everyone was glad got what was coming to him
JG is the actual ship (Can't move and stuck to the ocean floor)

Guess that leaves Chaney asking you to paint him like one of your French girls...

You can no longer be supportive because of THAT?? Dear God dude, then gtfo. It was a harmless analogy that anyone who’s not a Nancy can fully understand. But you’re outraged and offended, so just gtfo.

Lol. I meant of CJP and his stupid press conferences. You seem way more triggered than I am. Maybe retreat to your safe space for a bit then come back and talk to me. I’m not going anywhere.

"A Sinking Ship" gotta love Pruitt's honesty, his coaching, not so much

Pruitt says, But I've never been a captain before, what'd you expect?

I opened Yahoo on my browser and this was the #1 headline story. Sure it was taken out of context a bit, but given the state of the program right now it was a really bone headed thing to say imo. Anyone think that quote and article being a head liner could hurt with recruiting, players mentality, media bashing, etc. Sorry I offended some of you by posting a relevant article and giving my opinion on it. Bless your tender hearts.

He DID NOT compare TN program to the Titanic, he referenced this scene in the movie comparing the rats
to some of the kids leaving our program!

Of course when you are a coach on a losing streak.....NEVER EVER bring up the Titanic!!!
