i've been critical, and probably will continue to be...but i do think that performance yesterday in total was pretty damn good. kudos to the O line, 1 sack against that front...unexpected. i really thought we'd struggle to protect.
Cam was better than he'll get credit for nationally....the flip, that got me excited...can't lie.
the WR's did a nice job of bouncing back from early struggles, glad to see that. but we just can't continue to have the wide open drops like we've had the last two weeks. by all rights we should have won both games handily.
i do think they need to make some adjustments or something to Cam's pocket presence. if he could learn how to move around in the pocket (i'd have him look at Big Ben) it could open up some passing lanes and reduce the amount of batted passes at the line. i do think that's something the defensive line for the TExans picked up on in film study.
and, gulp, dare i say shula and co. had a good game plan? i thought the play calling was pretty good actually.
and what can you say about the defense? i thought they were very good all game long. got key turnovers, and shut the run down.
very glad, and pleasantly surprised, to be 2-0. Long season, but so far, so good. i think there's a lot of good to takeaway, and plenty they can still build on.
