No way I would start a bidding war for Garrett if I'm SF. They can get two extra first round picks.

Would have preferred Howard over McCaffrey, but that's just bc of who our OC is. This could be fun!
Lattimore was the BPA at the time, though.

is it just me, or does anyone think the bucs are all the sudden a little bit better than at least 2 teams in this division? OJ was a great pick for them. he's gong to cause problems for defenses in this division.

I was thinking a few weeks back that McCaffrey could be comparable to LaDanian Tomlinson. That might be a bit lofty, but they are similarly built with similar skill sets.

I wish we would have taken Lattimore,Burnett or Howard.

We could have gotten a quality back in the 2nd round like Cook or Kamara

McCaffreys durability worries me.

not worried about his durability, really. i don't think they'll ask him to carry the load as a power back up the gut 20+ times a game. he may get 20 touches a game, and i'm for that....but not standing in lone set back behind cam just getting hand offs.

that said, on your first point, it's a solid one. having cook and kamara still there, w/in reach in the 2nd....hindsight being what it is, could have covered the RB situation nicely with either one of those guys, and really helped the defense at 8.

still, i think CM is a great pick.

3 picks tonight, early and late 2nd and late 3rd. who we looking at? cam robinson at 40? Jordan Willis? Budda Baker? Tim Williams? zay jones?

You are right about hindsight because Cook and Kamara could have gone late in 1st rd.

I am happy we have McCaffrey but I would have been happier with Lattimore or Burnett.

it's hard, picking that early, only 1 pick in the first round, you have no idea what's going to happen after you pick...

if there were rumblings of trying to get back in the 1st round, or they were able to trade back and pick up some more picks earlier in the 2nd or 3rd, then who knows.

i think they were smart to stay where the were, and they got a great football player.

by pick 16 or 17, i was sitting there wishing we had another pick though. so much talent left on the board midway to the back end last night....

i'm still a little peeved the steelers didn't pick up Foster.

and i absolutely would have loved to have seen the panthers get J Allen.

but, the kid from KSU is there, AUB DE is still out there....so there's some value left. Anzolne from FL is still there too. and some good corners. and WR's.

jeez this draft is loaded.

Shannon Sharpe said it best,"If Christian McCaffrey was black he would be an automatic top 10 pick." It still ended up happening, and I'm not trying to turn this into a race thing, but he had a point. The kid is a solid football player,and there many wondering if he would fall during the draft

McShay was definitely right about him catching with his body a lot. Panthers don't really seem to care about good hands though
