Calm down guys

To recap, it seems that the points made are:

- Harbaugh hasn't won his division at Michigan (correct)...
...and that makes him irrelevant (wrong)
...and that puts him on the same level as Butch (wrong)
...and that means he hasn't proven he's a good coach (wrong)
- Okay, he was a good coach before, but not AT MICHIGAN (still wrong, and wtf? You're saying he forgot how to coach?)
- He's not a finisher (wrong) AT MICHIGAN (see above)
- He wouldn't win in the SEC (wrong)

Again, it's Ricky Bobby, except selective as hell. "If you ain't first, you're the same as Butch. And even if you were first, at a different school, you're still the same as Butch, because that doesn't count."

He has done nothing of relevance at Michigan yet (if ever)

Never said he was on butch jones level, just that he hasnt proven anything at Michigan.

He has done nothing to prove being a good coach outside of a decent regular season record.

Its the fact of him proving himself as a good coach at michigan, it just hasnt been done yet(won anything of relevance)

Hasnt proven to be a finisher for Michigan, what has he won of significance? (He got beat by Iowa, who got hammered by Florida, not that one game is the final straw its just an example)

He wouldn't win in the SEC. (He'll never be on Saban's level....EVER...but who will be?)

The problem with your whole argument is, it is just your opinion it carries no facts.

For the record he never finished 1st at Stanford, the highest he finished was 2nd behind Oregon in 2012.

You are Making this to much about what you want to believe and not about the facts.
1. Harbaugh has never won his division in the Pac10 or the Big10...fact!!!
2. Harbaugh didn't win a conference
championship at Stanford or Michigan...fact!
3. Harbaugh hasn't won a National Championship at Stanford or Michigan (how could he? He cant even win his division, less yet his conference)...fact!
4. Harbaugh wouldnt win the SEC, he couldn't even win the Pac 10 or the Big10...(you think he could beat Saban?)...fact!

Where exactly did you put your facts, because like most everyone else on this board, I don't see a single fact, just your useless opinion! Who needs facts when you can just believe whatever you want, however just because its your opinion doesnt make it fact...you are fighting a losing battle! Show me facts!!! Just one fact in your arguement please!

You said he wouldn't win 10 games in the SEC, which outside of Bama is average at best. We weren't talking about beating Saban.

He took a 1-11 team to 12-1 and won the Orange Bowl...fact

He took a bad Michigan team to the top 15 in year one and the top 10 in year two...fact

He took a bad 49er team to 3 straight NFC Championships and a Super Bowl with no QB...fact

Your position that none of these things are evidence of good coaching ability is nothing more than an (unusual) opinion...fact

I thought you would avoid the real question, the second best record in the SEC this year was 9-4 what makes you think Harbaugh would hsve surpassed that, oh wait you dont have any facts, right?

Classic....like i said you're fighting a losing battle. No more emotional picks, just facts!!!

1 None of that addresses the original topic of Harbaugh proving anything at Michigan outside of a good regular season record...fact!
2. You are too emotionally invested to admit your wrong...fact!
3 you won't address the topic clearly stated in #1 because, you have no facts to support it...fact!

The fact that he went 10-2 in a tougher conference....

#fact

How did that conference fair in the bowls against the SEC and other conferences?
3-7, sounds like a tougher conference to me...you are wrong...fact!!!

The top 3 teams according to the polls in the Big10, OSU, Michigan and Penn State (were all favored in their games) all lost to inferior opponents according to the rankings...fact!

Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Northwestern were the only Big10 teams to win their bowl games, all by 8 points or less...fact!

You keep setting me up, I'll keep spiking them down your throat...losing battle...fact!

Haha now you're just listing opinions.

Fact: you started off saying he was irrelevant, then that he hadn't proven anything, and now that he hasn't proven anything outside of a good regular season record, which is a pretty significant thing. That's called moving the goalposts. Fact

Like really? Record? Michigan would be 8-4 because Florida was 8-4? Lmao

Since he has proven he cant win his division at Stanford or Michigan...fact!

what makes you think he could do it in the SEC, even in a weak SEC East?...nothing has given anybody that idea...Fact!

You should check my stats, my first argument on the thread wad that he had nothing to prove himself a good coach....check my stats!!! Fact!

Harbaugh has done nothing of relevance at Michigan to be considered a slam dunk hire.....Nothing!!! He hasn't won his division...He hasn't won the Big10...he hasn't won the playoff.

Don't get upset he may be a very good coach in the long run just hasn't proven it yet in the small sample size.

Does he show signs? yes, but he is hardly proven anything yet...:)

I even gave the possibility of him being a very good coach one day(i believe its highly unlikely but), just not proven anything yet at Michigan...fact!

Ok now you've just left the realm of facts entirely lol. Didn't take that long.

The fact that he didn't win his division at Stanford isn't "proof he can't." Otherwise, Butch has proven that he can't win his conference. Harbaugh also won his division both at San Diego and in the NFL, but don't let that stop you

Lol 5-7 to top ten is proof of good coaching. That's why you changed it to "nothing outside of a good regular season record" later. Better to move the goalposts than to just be obviously wrong

Butch has won 4 conference championships...fact! (2 shared), so butch is a better coach right? So if Butch has won 4 and Harbaugh only 1, and Butch cant win the SEC East, neither could Harbaugh...right?

Saban sucked in the NFL does that make him a horrible coach? Of course not...fact!

The NFL game doesnt always translate to college, that is what we are talking about right? Harbaugh at Michigan, right? Reel it back in little guy...again with the emotional opinions

It is ok to be wrong...fact! You and your Ricky Bobby theory, first or last...right?

You are making this way too easy...fact!

Shared conference titles aren't conference titles. If another team is the conference team in the BCS bowl, you aren't the champ.

The NFL is much much tougher X's and O's wise than college is. That's why Saban and Spurrier didn't do well there.

The 11-1 seasons at San Diego were still in college...you are all over the place

Regular season records get you fired if that is your highest accomplishment, see Mark Richt or Les Miles about that...fact!

I wasnt back peddling, i was acknowledging his final record, but he still hasn't do anything of relevance at Michigan...fact!

Butch improved our record as well, that must make him a slam dunk higher...right?

This conversation is just getting, more ignorant by the minute, youre arent orovinf your point, period...fact!

I would just like to reiterate that the argument that 10-2 Michigan, in the top 4 for most of the year, would go 8-4 in the SEC because they're not allowed to win their division is certifiably insane, and based on zero facts whatsoever. That's all.

At least you're right about something. Won't need to "back peddle" on that one

But yet Harbaugh hasnt won at a high level in the college rank yet? He must be better than Saban and Spurrier, right? Oh wait, he couldn't even tie their shoes, you are really reaching now....fact!

#6 in the country not being "high level" is 100% opinion.

5-7 to top ten not "proving" anything, or not being anything "of relevance," is also 100% opinion.

You are entitled to your opinions and definitions of those particular terms.
