Harbaugh brings a helluva resume. and he's done it in pro and college. it's reasonable to expect that he'll be successful in college...again.

but don't give up. keep going.

None of that was at Mighigan, everyone wants to bring up what he did at Other jobs...I am talking proving things at Michigan. Michigan fans don't care he went to a Super Bowl or won a Rose Bowl at Stanford this is a what have you done for me lately culture and he hasn't won anything of relevance at Michigan!!!

Brian Kelly had a great Resume going to Notre Dame and got them to a National Championship..But you think Notre Dame fans are happy with him now?

In year 4 we will see how happy they are with him if he hasn't beat OSU, won his division, or competed for the Big10 Championship!!!

If that were true he wouldn't be coaching there. They didn't hire him just because he was a "Michigan guy". There are plenty of those abroad.

He's not there with that contract because he played QB there back in the day.

And he wont get fired with double digit wins any time soon, especially when he's doing that in his first 2 years after Brady Hoke walked out with 8,7,and 5.

When this conversation started, I understood the point you were trying to make, and agreed. But as it continued, your "argument " has gotten weaker. In my opinion, you added some things and used some terms that allowed the others to expand on, and now it's kind of gotten silly.

While what he did t previous stops in the NFL and Stanford may have aided in him getting the job initially, it will not carry weight if he doen't do what he was hired to do at Michigan. Which is win championships and make Michigan relevant in the BIG 10 again.

They are relevant in the Media because of Harbaugh, not necessarily because of on Field accomplishments. The best he has finished is 3rd in his division and he has lost to OSU both years. Not showing signs of competing for the BIG10 championship.

He has never proven to be a championship level coach at the Power 5 Level as of yet. He didn't win the Pac 10 at Stanford the Highest he ever finished was 2nd to Oregon in 2012. I am just saying it is fair to say that he hasn't proven anything at Michigan yet to be labeled a "Slam Dunk" hire.

I am not disputing his record or his NFL accomplishments but he will have to win something of relevance at Michigan.

We all know that just because a coach is successful at one place doesn't guarantee success at the next place.
Brian Kelly is a prime example of this theory, he went to a National Championship game in his first 2 years (with the previous coaches players) and has since drove Notre Dame in a hole that may cost him his job next year.

He needs to win something of relevance to be labeled a "Slam Dunk" hire.

He isn't even the best coach in his conference, so why would he deserve to be the highest paid coach in college football?
