there is a huge difference in 10.7 and 10.01 seconds. I ran a 10.7 in high school and still got smoked by people like adarius bowman, daniel and josh bullocks, and willie idlette. Gerald riggs ran a 10.6 in high scool too. Track speed is very overrated.

Why would you make a list of things you don't get, and then sum it up by saying you don't get why people complain about things they "don't get".

I don't get it.

Sorry you don't get why I said "some" in all 5 on my list and put "constantly" in bold.

Good for Dooley. If the kid cant make up his mind by now he must not really want to be a Vol. I admire the coach for taking that approach. It will probably make the guys in place work that much harder knowing that Dooley will not give things to a guy based on reputation alone.

It just looked to me like you were doing exactly what you were criticizing others for doing.

You are more than welcome to quote me where I CONSTANTLY Biach, moan and cry about any of the four things on my list like SOME do.

Let him go. We don't need some prima donna college version of Brett Farve.

bad example. i'd take favre at UT anytime the ncaa let him play. If he demanded foot massages from the entire coaching staff they better get to oiling their hands. As for BB I hope the best for the kid but if he is gone let him be.

As far as everyone putting the primadonna label on him at no point in this process has he done anything of the sort I have read up on. He told the coaches what he told them and pretty much went to class like he should be. No one but him knows why what is going on is going on. Let it all play out on it's own.

I would not beg him back and then i would let it be a team decision even if he wanted to come back. He has not been there for his teamates but i doubt he wants to come back.

Great idea, that would be the best choice. If it came to that I'm sure he'd be back. But like you said, I dont think he wants to come back. However, he is dating a girl who attends UT, so who knows?

Right, a top teir college athlete like BB would come back for a piece of tail. I'm sure he couldn't find some anywhere else.

If he initiates the conversation with Dooley then sign him again or let him come back. Start at the bottom and earn his playing time......He can get a good education at Tennessee and maybe even learn some valuable life lessons about humility.

Any idea when he will make his final decision about whether to transfer? Someone said he's scheduled a presser for 2-3 weeks.

Why does he deserve a press conference, he'll probably just tell the coaching staff and then leave.

I like the message that CDD is sending to these players is that if you loved UT you would be here and if you dont get the hell out.

SFThis

If he wanted to be a Vol, he would.

Last thing CDD needs is a burger king who thinks he is bigger than being a Vol.

I think the message Dooley should be sending Brown is we need and want your on the team. Not "you should want to be here and if you don't get the hell out." Vandy has lots of players with that attitude. Nobody of note wants to play there.

The highest recruited player in the last 10 years at UT should be treated differently then a walk-on or a third string player. The starting QB or RB isn't treated the same way as a 3rd or 4th string player. Special players are treated differently. NFL coaches acknowledge this. The idea that everyone is the same and equal on a football team isn't the real world.

Nailed it. How many UT fans care about Nick Lamaison transferring? (besides shootermcgavin)

I'm guessing you can count them on one hand.

No doubt about it. It's easy to just say "don't let the door hit you on the way out" but IMO you have to acknowledge how completely ludicrous the coaching situation has been the past 18 months and cut these kids a little slack.

You need to tell rivals and scout because the whole recruiting rating system is weighed heavily toward the fastest players.

Exactly. The players are doing outstanding with all the crap that's been thrown at them.

I'd love to have BB wearing orange. Clearly, we need a back who can run without the help of an OL. BB is the closest thing we have to that type of runner.

I'd really like to see him as a sophomore at UT. He's going to show steady improvement.

I also agree that the simple message should be that we want and need you on our team. Then, let him decide. The guy has proven that he has a good work ethic and will respond to coaching. I don't know what more a coach could want.

Moreover, he probably needed to rest his hip this spring anyway. It's all good.

I want to know how so many people got to attend practice last year. Also it should be mentioned that Bryce had a concussion and it was still bothering recently(according to the sports animal).

i know what you're saying. I'm just saying lots of people are fast in a straight line, on a track. Can we agree on that? IMO, 100m speed isn't really relevant to football.

let him go if he feels he needs to. You work on keeping someone who does not want to be a VOL. I hope he has success where he goes, but we don't need the drama we need to right the ship and get back on top. If he wants no part in that then see ya!!!!
