If Bryce comes back, he would probably place all kinds of stipulations on the amount of playing time, etc. or he would have an attitude the whole year

Yeah, I remember when he walked out on the team in the 4th quarter of a game because he was unhappy with his playing time.

Oops, that was Poole, the guy who you would think is Jamal Lewis from the praise he gets here.

When Does ths descision hav to be made?

The fact that he hasn't already transferred elsewhere tells me that he'll be playing for UT this fall. If he were going to go elsewhere, then he would transferred in order to participate in spring practice at his new school to ensure that he would be starting in the Fall.

Finals aren't over at UT until tomorrow, so I'm sure he's focused on that ATM.

Yeah... you really figured that one out. One was disgusted because he wasn't getting PT he'd earned.... The other? Well, let's just say that didn't seem to be a problem for him whatsoever. In fact, the exact opposite has been suggested.

Is there a deadline? As far as I know, Brown can decide any time between now and August though you would think UT would set a deadline for him to start participating in work outs.

SGMvols be a little more specific rather than say the 4th Qtr. there was under 2 minutes left in a blowout game and Tauren did not try to quit the team as you stated earlier. with UT up so much why play MH or BB? why would you not give more reps to your 3rd or 4th stringers? you do not know the specifics of the conversation on the field, and as unbelievable as you may think it is, I do. after a brief discussion between TP and Kiffin he was TOLD to either sit down or go to the locker room, TP went to the locker room. as usual you twist facts to meet your agenda, you must have majored in Political Science.

I don't think SGMVols is a graduate.

I think I can take a stab at why CLK didn't want to play TP...

Im tired of all these fake tennessee fans. It was obvious that kiffin was playing bryce brown because of recruiting. there is no doubt. he was not impressive. he was way overrated nowhere near the number 1 recruit in america

He was a true Freshmen running behind a middle school O-line, going against SEC defenses.

So was Poole in his few chances... so was Hardesty as he was one of the more dominant RB's in the SEC.

Brown appears to be a freakish athlete. However he did NOT show great RB skills last year. There were times when he would run up the backs of blockers on the corner with running lanes on both sides. All he had to do was set up the block and make the cut. I can't remember even once when he saw an inside cutback lane, planted his foot, and ripped through a hole.

The reasons he was not more successful last year have nothing to do with opportunities and little to do with the OL.

I'm not sure about whether he was the #1 recruit or not. I am sure that he wasn't even the #1 Freshman RB in the SEC much less all of CFB.

More stupidity. first of all the offensive line was decent. secondly his line had nothing to do with the fact that he rarely ran through or around anyone. despite being touted as some rare blend of speed and power.

I'm not comparing Brown to Hardesty. Adjusting to the college game, with that weak of an O-line all factors in.

A middle school line that had an all american?? Yes, i realize that u need a good line all around, not just one position, but if u think they were not very good, then good luck this year.

It does factor in but you should be able to see the refined RB skills if they are present.

BB is a tremendous raw talent but he is RAW. I don't think anyone can argue that Richardson was not a more polished RB even after accounting for the OL difference. McCalebb and Miles were as well. I don't think any of those guys, even Richardson, has BB's innate ability. All showed better skills.

Hardesty didn't have any problem behind that OL regardless of how you spin it. He has refined RB skills. BB does not. At this point, TP appears to have more refined skills than BB.

What is the deadline Bryce Brown has given regarding a decision about whether to stay or not?

Maybe he is looking at his opportunities at TEnnesseee now with all the defectors and the fact that many are going to Division II teams. That would not help him in the NFL later...I bet he stays and becomes productive on the field....After all he is probably productive off the field.....

No one is comparing Hardesty to Brown. Hardesty at this point is a MUCH BETTER running back, that is not in dispute.

You keep dodging the point. BB has great talent. He does NOT have polished RB skills. If he doesn't learn to make good reads and then strong cuts, he will never be the back his raw talent enables him to be.

He was a freaking freshman. Of course he isn't going to be as polished as a senior.

This has all ready been said but I will say it again. If he was to leave before he he completes one year at UT he would have to sit out for two years per ncaa rules. So after this semester (I think exams are this week) he is as good as gone!
