Breaking Bad on amc

They are taking money from his family. I'm not sure that he doesn't care. He just had bigger fish to fry at the time.

I think the fact he didn't have much of a reaction shows he didn't care; which yes given the circumstances I'm sure it was small potatoes. But since last year it's been apparent he has more money than he can even spend.

I don't think he noticed that they took some. With that massive pile that he never counted put into 55 gallon barrels there's no way he could tell. I'm sure he had his suspicions, but I don't think he cared even if they took a handful off stacks. Hence the "close enough" comment.

Being the person that he is, I'm sure he chalked it up as acceptable loss to have the money transported. At this point he and Saul make it seem like it's the only thing that can connect him to meth manufacturing.

Without witness testimony, it is. everyone he was involved with is dead, with no way to find bodies for any of them. No money = no crime other than Hank being suspicious. And Suspicions aren't enough to even get a hearing these days, let alone for a dying man with cancer.

I think back to season 2 when Walt chewed out Jesse over breakage. That was only over an ounce of meth and a few thousand dollars.

Walt may have so much going on with Hank that he doesn't care but I don't think he will let being stolen from go unanswered.

Back when he was trying to reach the magic $737,000 and he didn't know how long he had left, I'm sure every dollar was important.

Now he's a millionaire. One of those duffel bags he gave Jessie was holding 2.5 million. I bet you could stack at least 6 on top of 6 to roughly equal the size of that pallet of money. I'd bet there's easily $25+ million.

Making money isn't his problem anymore. It was laundering it. Now it's hiding it. Sure he would be suspicious they might snag a few stacks. At this point with Hank knowing it was him all along, he's got bigger problems than worrying about 2 guys snagging a few thousands bucks off his money mountain. His grand story is collapsing.

Stolen? It was the cost of doing business for what he needed done.

It's a non issue and will never be addressed. He has bigger concerns.

This.

I think it was pretty clear he knew they took some; if you recorded it, go back and watch the scene again, when he says "close enough" he paused and looked up at them both. He knows they took some, but at this point he doesn't care and he just chalked it up to extra cost for getting the bulk of it out.

It's definitely a non-issue and I agree it won't be brought up again. There are 6 episodes left, they don't have time to dwell on something that minor.

Y'all may be right but I'm sticking with my guess that Walt doesn't just let it go.

The only thing I can see happening would be if the crap really hits the fan, Walt goes all out Scarface, and when meeting with Saul pulls out a gun and shoots both of his goons before they knew what hit them and said something like "That's for stealing my money".

But I have a feeling in a week or so those 2 will be so far removed from his "How Much I Care" meter than he may not even remember them at all, much less they took money from him. He's about to be neck deep in it.

Could be that if Saul and said goons start being watched more closely, that money they stole becomes a big piece of the puzzle if discovered...

Jesse is going to fold like a lawn chair.

I'm really curious about the ending with Walt having a head full of hair. Does he beat cancer again? Jack Bauer hasn't narrowly escaped death as much as this guy.

I don't know about your first assertion.

Jesse is all over the place in his head, but I just don't see him folding and ending up as a rat. Could be wrong but I don't see it.

Anything can happen with this show. I guess they just set it up to lead you to believe he is likely to fold.
His face was funny to me when he was sitting at the table with the two officers. I really wondered if they just had Aaron Paul take a nap right before shooting that scene.

I had been fighting it, but I'm pretty convinced Jesse is a dead man walking. I still hope he gets out somehow but it's not looking good.

I was wondering about that also after the first episode.

At first I was thinking maybe he's faking the cancer thing this time. They were talking about taking a trip to Europe. Then what really stood out was his logic when he confronted hank in his garage.

I'm sorry you feel this way. I want to beat this thing, I do. I'm back on chemo and I'm fighting like hell. But the truth is... in six months you won't have someone to prosecute. Even, even if somehow you were able to convince anyone that I was capable of doing these things. You and I both know I would never see the inside of a jail cell.

I'm probably just reading too much into it, but it sounded a little like Walter saying either he'd run or he'd beat the charges.

Nah, we know the cancer is back because we've seen the side effects and him doing the chemo treatements.

Unless.... He's taking the treatments only as a "precaution" when its really still in remission (this happens occasionally for people who are terminal anyway and want to live longer or try to live longer and gives doctors chances to study the effects more). Or even, he paid them off to give him more treatments to make everyone think he had cancer again so that it would be feasible to fake his own death, making the reason his neighbor was so terrified NOT because she saw the dreaded Heisenburg, but because she saw a dead man.

Yep, I'm now running with this crazy idea till I'm proven wrong. Walt fakes having cancer again to fake his own death to escape the charges.

If your crazy idea also leaves open the possibility of making future episodes then I'm down.

Maybe he just quit Chemo? If he goes on the run I'd say he would stop the treatments, thus allowing his hair to grow back.

I just mean we've got Walt saying he's never going to see the inside of a jail and Hank won't have anyone to prosecute, and given that we've seen Walt in the future with a full head a hair and an m60 in the truck......it doesn't look like he has cancer to me. At least not anymore.

In the past his cancer was a huge part of the show. Doctor visits, and him feeling sorry for himself, and family lamenting. This time they just snuck it in there. No doctor visits, no family, no self pity. It's like, oh yea by the way Walt's cancer is back cheers!"

It just felt a little contrived by Walt is all.

I understand where you are coming from, he may not have cancer. But I think with him passing out again could be a telling sign. But we could contribute it to dehydration from working in the desert. But that is the first time he has passed out since season 1, back when he had cancer.

But I think the real sign was his coughing. He has had his cough back in the future episodes, and I remember in crawl space he coughed as well. He may be able to fake his cough but I doubt it.
