Botch on the way to Maryland

It doesn't take much to make you happy since you think IBJ actually was a "good" coach that put in exceptional effort. Do you put in the same effort with the same results that he did in your job?

If i were hated for all the failures I've had in my life even half as much as you petty little fellows hate CBJ I would be a pretty sad case.

Of course, you've likely never failed at anything. We can't all be like you dude and not attempt to attain the highest level we can.

But hating on people that honestly tried and failed is a pathetic way to live ones life. But you do you, big guy.

What would you have him do?

He was on the team that won, so he got to smoke a cigar.

Ya'lls hatred of a guy that you loved a mere 3 years ago is pretty childish.

I do wish him well. There is no doubt he tried harder to be successful in his role at HC here than pretty much anyone posting on VN does at their chosen profession. Obviously it didn't work out but for you guys to carry this much hatred around more than 12 months after he is gone borders on obsession.

Well, at least you got something in that post right.

Agreed.

I believe that he genuinely wanted to be here, and be the coach of the Vols. I had high hopes for Butch. I knew he was coming from a different situation, but I wanted him to succeed. Even when he made bone-headed coaching mistakes I just chalked it up to inexperience. When he didn't go for two and blamed it on 'the Chart', I knew he was over his head and his tenure was doomed. I for one would be glad for him to take another job. I can't stand the thoughts of him working for the Bammers...

We all wanted him to succeed at TN. Many didnt even know who Botch Jones was. Why did you have high hopes? Nothing he did led anyone to believe that Botch would have have high success at TN. The dude got beat by Dooley. Now to the main point.

Now we know, Botch Jones didnt really want to be here. How do we know? Because of his sabotage of this program. We thought that Dooley left the program in bad shape, but Botch did much worse.

And you do you, no harm in that or the posters that disagree with what you post and believe. No one one on here should ever think that they are going to change minds. I’ve read on this forum for awhile, don’t remember too many that state emphatically, that they hate Butch. See it for what it is, a way to vent sometimes.

There us a difference between failing and fraud. Botch was both unfortunately.

I told you what happened. Butch went red faced, punched Crowder in the penis, then he fell on a helmet.

Never answered why he did it, really, and the helmet thing, did it happen to two players? I thought Tuttle was the victim in one. Maybe someone should look into falling over helmets is a hazard at this point.
