Basilio's Blog is done

Its real simple folks, DD needs to sit the team down and tell them either they are committed to do things his way at 100% of their ability, or they can hit the door period. There is not one player or coach for that matter, bigger than the team.

I look for a very physical off season as well as spring practice.

Bray needs to be pushed by Worley, or the 4 star on his way in. Something needs to wake him up. At least the Manning comparisions can stop. If they weren't insulting before they sure as F$%# are now.

Well, at that point Bray hadn't come out and said something no QB/leader should ever say:that he needs to get away from football.

Funny, he was away from football while injured. That quote was disturbing if he is going to lead this team.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the comment! You take a vacation? If so then you have no right to throw stones. Manning has been known to be seen on the strip with a beverage in hand. Darn him for not being in the film room.

This is nothing that winning won't take care of. Didn't hear any locker room problems after the Cincy game.

There were all sorts of locker room problems in the late 90's and early 2000's, but winning took care of most of them.

Remember the story of Albert Haynesworth getting kicked out of practice for fighting an OL and then came storming back with a weight lifting bar and had to be restrained by players and coaches?

Winning may take care of it on a game to game basis but as soon as there is adversity it will again rear its ugly head.

if the same access to info had been around during that time people would have been shocked. I hear/see less bad stuff now than I did on campus in the 90's

Manning was a mainstay on the strip during his college days. I saw it with my own to eyes. There is a lot more than just football for these guys. Nothing wrong with that.

Really? Did he ever say anything like that? Having a beer, and going out is one thing. Openly stating that you need to get away from football (after being away for a month) is an issue. The QB sets the tone for the team. That is not the tone that needed to be set.

Manning is also busy rehabbing a career-ending injury so he can play again, and is regarded as the hardest working player in the NFL. Bray is far from that.

Bray and Rogers need competition to survive.. There are other players who will be able to do the job.. Takes time...I would never put all my faith in two players have negative affects on the team..(If that is the case).

That is true. But winning more than you lose has a way of helping those things to work out.

That's why Fulmer would often allow players who screwed up to stay on the team. He knew if he won enough that it would gloss over the negative stuff. However it did backfire a few times. Like the Tony McDaniel stuff in 2005 which was just ridiculous.

Do you think PM takes a vacation after the season every year?

Check it out.....it pretty much sums this crappy season up. 21 and 8 are really classy........Dooley discipline is really strict lol........no wonder these guys laid down for KY. Been hearing 8 is a failed DT away from being ejected out of here as well. Dudley Doolright is really sloppy when it comes to "his" players. Interesting!

ever wonder why this guy has to make phone calls to try and find information? you would think a local media member would have most of his info first hand. this cat really trys to make a mountain out of a ant hill.

I'm sorta new and I don't want to ignore posters, but is there a way to ignore threads that contain specific words?

such as "Basilio" or "Hyams"

they're never truly "away" during the season. Most can't appreciate the work they do put in but I have no issue with him taking a little time off. He's still a college kid

easiest way is not to click it :hi:

Agreed. Just wish he had not said it with all the other stuff buzzing around him and the program. It doesn't help anything.

Wes Rucker says he doesn't know if any of that blog is untrue. He does know of certain things that are true.

I questioned him about Bray and Rogers being painted in a negative light. He said "it is what it is".

SMH.
