Bad Bunny

NFL Legend Eric Dickerson Torches Bad Bunny over Super Bowl and tells league to 'keep his a**' away from halftime show

NFL Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson has told Bad Bunny to 'keep his a**' away from next year's Super Bowl halftime show if he truly doesn't like the United States.

Bad Bunny, real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, was controversially unveiled as the musical act for Super Bowl LX last month, an announcement which sparked contention given his frequent criticism of Donald Trump in recent months.

The NFL is facing calls to remove Bad Bunny as the next Super Bowl halftime performer as a result, and Dickerson, 65, says he would rather see someone else receive the honor.

'I'm from the U.S.,' the legendary running back told TMZ. 'I love my country. And if you don't like the United States, just get your ass out of here and don't come over here.'

When a photographer reminded him that Puerto Rico is a US territory, Dickerson continued: 'But, it's not the U.S. That's the way I look at it. That's the way I feel.'

Bad Bunny sparks more fury after Refusing to Stand up for ‘God Bless America’ during Yankees game

Bad Bunny isn't doing much to cool the outrage around his Super Bowl halftime show next year.

The singer was at the New York Yankees baseball playoff game on Tuesday night, enjoying one of the best seats in the house for the team's dramatic comeback win against Toronto Blue Jays.

Traditionally, the Yankees welcome a veteran onto the field at the bottom of the seventh inning before the crowd stand for a rendition of 'God Bless America'.

But fans noticed that the musician, real name Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, stayed seated during the performance in the Bronx, as per TMZ.

The publication of the video on Wednesday immediately sparked an angry backlash from some observers amid an underlying concern he could use his Super Bowl performance in Santa Clara in February to make a political statement against President Trump.

I have listened to both. They both suck. The most miserable time of my life was taking my daughter(huge BTS fan) to a K-POP concert. They literally sang an “I scream for ice cream” song. It was funny watching the crowd go crazy over that song.
my estimation of you both went up and down the moment i read this

I see you point by why go after one segment if it alienates another.

You can gain a market and still keep ur current market happy.

That’s smart business.
This particular segment of the "current market" probably wouldn't be happy with anyone from the last 20 years of music

Apple Music pays for this. Who is their market? A guy with billions of streams or Chicago (who has been proposed as a halftime performer in the past by conservatives)...

No one is obligated to stand for this

Not true. Youngblood would be a good example. Many Gen Xers like him including myself. Hell Ozzy basically self appointed him. That’s just one example.

Apple paying while it being a NFL game is also a difficult scenario. Both do not have the same target market.

Case in point, the example of who should perform at the Super Bowl is some guy with less of a following than Soulja Boy. Old conservatives will never be happy with a current popular artist, just like old conservatives in the '60s thought The Beatles made devil music

I really don't give a rat's ass, but when I saw his last name was Ocasio, I did wonder if he's related to AOC.

Doesn't matter if he is or he isn't. Just wondered if they were.

You are correct, however there is this thing about just not being an 🫏hole and showing some respect to the veteran being honored.

More often than not at sporting events, there’s a veteran recognized on the field, sometimes it’s the Air Force guys who did the flyover during pre-game.

Overwhelmingly more often than not they get a standing ovation when announced.
