Dude's literally worried about getting falsely arrested like so many have, for his looks. That's self-preservation, brother. Living in wild times under authoritarian rule, folks must look out for their basic livelihoods. My boss and his wife just went through naturalization process after being here legally the last 15 years because they were terrified of being detained and deported. 1 is an executive at my company and other works for S&P. This is the sad state of affairs.
