Automobilia etc....

I once got a chance to take my fathers 2013 335i to the dragon last year. I got to drive it on a regular basis since I was renting my parents house for a year while they were living in Texas in my dad's final years and they left their cars at home.

The road was wet to start the day and then dry by the end. That car was faster in the wet than any car I've driven in the dry. For a vehicle that weighed around 3700lbs it didn't feel it.

Was it the most fun car I've driven on that road? No, that honor goes to the Miata I had, followed by the Mazdaspeed 3. It did however make the strongest impression upon me. That was a car that could do it all, it was an absolute rocket ship when you needed it to be, but a comfortable sedan for all the other times.

I certainly see myself leasing one in the future.

Is the 335 all wheel drive? Our X3 is and man does that make a difference. Not going to lie, I hurt a Scion FRS's (or maybe a Subaru BRZ?) feelings a few weeks ago from a red light. I don't think he expected the X3 to be that fast.

I would argue there's a difference in fast and getting the power to the ground quicker, but its all part of the fun.

His was RWD.

It's available as AWD. The purest form is RWD. Everyone loves a bit of oversteer.

I used to have a rwd 325i. Trust me when I say that the Xdrive is far superior. If you see one on the lot or something, take it for a spin.

Depends on what options you want. If you just want a base model GT, you can get them new for 30k. When you jump to GT premium with leather and such it goes up. What model are you looking at, link?

You can get a brand new base model gt for 30k? I must be looking at the wrong places.

....where is this magical place?

The undertune on the 335 is a bit of a story...was it to appease the M fanatics? I don't know. I'll tell you, though: when I got my JuiceBox tune installed and beefed up the downpipes, the power increase was mind-blowing. That car was scary-quick, and soooo much fun to drive. I never even tried the E-85 mix, as it was plenty fun.

I disagree. Buy a car that you absolutely love and you'll never mind making the payments. When it breaks, fix it. When it's old, trade it. But always love what you buy. People only regret IMPULSE car purchases. Sleep on it for a few days and if you're still thinking about it, go get it.

By definition, cars are not an investment,...except for new and used car dealers, and the car buffs who buy to fix and sell gor profit. For all us normal dudes, they're an expense.

@ Mustang buyer...whats your insurance gonna run for that car? Hot cars usually have a higher rate.

I'm 22 I'm looking at around 200 a month for 2 cars.

So tell me how you feel about Mustangs.

Depends. 60s models I love.
Those new things aren't Mustangs. They're ego strokes for guys that are still living in their mom's basement. Joe Dirt is a hillarious movie, but only because Spade captured so well the pathetic nature of white trash subculture and what jiggles their jimmies.

It's like the moron that drives his pick-up to work that has a lift kit and accessories that cost more than the truck itself.
