Automobilia etc....

Nah. I'm on mustangsource.com but I rarely visit these days.

This sucker is paid for and I'm avoiding as much temptation as possible.

Ok. Your screen name looked familiar. I haven't been on lightningrodders in years.

Guy over there with your sn has a heavily modded harley truck. (Fat sister to a lightning)

Just thought I'd check.

Anyone remember when top gear compared the camaro ss to the Merc AMG e45? They concluded with saying that the Merc felt like twice the car.

they sorta glossed over the price gap.

Hahaha

Love the show, but they do enjoy trying to stick it to American car makers.

I remember one of the first seasons of the new style Top Gear, 2003 maybe, Jeremy did a review of a F-150 Lightning, not a normal F-150. But half the review was what you would expect for a sedan. Handling, utility, fuel economy and of course he says it's awful. It'd be like me picking a Golf and complaining it can't tow a boat trailer, it struggles off road, it doesn't sit up and you can't see what's in front of you...ect.

Or like when they do the car vs public transportation challenges. I believe the car won every time till they put a GT500 against public transportation to Milan. Of course the first car loss would be a Ford and not an Aston or Merc.

But it's a British show so I expect that kind of stuff. Pretty amusing most of the time. One car they do love is the Focus I think.

Fat sister to a lightning...LMAO.

Best description I've read in a long time.

Do you have a harley truck?

Glad you liked my description. :)

Nope, I've always preferred my trucks to be more of the working variety (i.e. cheap, used, and something you don't mind to beat on).

That description cracked me up because it's dead on.

I was always a Lightning fan though.

They liked all 3 cars in the Las Vegas challange, Corvette, Challanger and 2nd Generation CTS-V. They had previously railed on the 1st gen.

How cool would these be if sold in America?

If, and it's a big if, a manufacturer will ever do it, I think there is a market for a small, affordable, fuel efficient pickup.

The trick would be getting them to build something sub $20k that doesn't attempt to attract the over-compensators (the "that ain't no truck!" crowd). Just something small and basic that could handle homeowner chores and towing for 97% of the population.

There's a market there. That's why anybody with small pickup in decent shape never has a single issue selling it. The new ones flop because it rarely makes sense to buy a $25-30k mid-sized getting about 18-20mpg when a full size can be had for just a little more.

I love drag racing, but I have a friend that ruined his life by street racing. Totally disgusted that the Discovery Channel pumps this show out regardless of it being 100% staged.

Brian Johnson just bought a nice ride. 627 HP Mustang GT from Petty's Garage.
$92K
