Automobilia etc....

Finally saw the new Miata in person. Local dealer has one of the Launch Edition ones that didn't get snapped up (Auto - bleh). Still going go down tomorrow to sit it in and may take it for a drive to check the handling etc.

Jealous.

Birmingham has 2 dealers and they had a pretty big allotment of the LE. I could have easily gotten one in the first couple days but wanted to see one before I committed

I'm hearing some of the non-LEs have already been delivered and others looking at the next week.

We are hoping for next week. Ours arrive on a train from California.

It looks like we don't have any Club trims coming in for a while. Once we start selling them, I'll continue to work on my general manager to get in some sport and clubs.

This piece of awesome that has come from Edelbrock HQ is this announcement letting the world known that the company has a crate engine option for those looking to stuff a blower motor in their hot rod. Yes, the Enforcer engines are available with carbs or EFI, are topped with an Edelbrock E-Force Enforcer blower, and make north of 500 hp and north of 500 lb/ft when dyno tested. Oh yeah, they also come with a flipping two year warranty. That’s wild, right?! Heck, Edelbrock even sends oil along with the engine to get you rolling.

Somewhere there's about 2 dozen surveys I filled out when I worked for Hyundai begging them for a small truck.

Hopefully they hit the mark they're aiming for.

A small urban/suburban truck that's built more to be handy and not prove manhood would be pretty awesome.

There is no reason Hyundai shouldn't try the small truck market. With their warranty and the success they have had in the car and SUV market they should have success in the small truck market.

If it doesn't work out they could always do like they did with the Entourage van and discontinue it. Hyundai tried the van market and it didn't work out. They quit making them and haven't looked back.

Not so sure about that last statement. That truck's styling looks pretty girly. Just have it in pink and there you have Barbee's truck.
