Thanks. No need to send anything, I can wait.
I won't pay above sticker. I'm probably somewhat flexible on color (half of them). Probably going for Club with or without Brembo package (depends on how it looks live and what's available).
Once they come in let me know. If you guys have what I'm looking for I'm not opposed to coming up there to get it.
It's dopey. I doubt we will see the configurator up till the end of this month. The cars are on US soil. I think demand will be high, but it will be difficult to find what you want unless you want a grand touring with all the trimmings.
I may be able to email you a product stat sheet, which would include all of the options and features. I just need to check if doing so would get me fired.
I think it will sell well, but I'm not sure what demand will be. I think folks over 45 will lap it up and buy plenty of the top models. My issue is we need to get sub 45 year old people to buy it. That means keeping a base model on the lot. I have implored my boss to do so, and I think he is.
If you are flexible on color, you should be able to find one in the first 3 months, at sticker price. I hope dealers won't needlessly mark it up.
Major props to you on the base model thing. The GMs/DPs I dealt with could never understand that.
Whenever the manufacturer at the time would release a vehicle aimed at the "younger crowd" (and they always were)...they'd bring in every high line model they could find, convinced they'd be rolling in dough selling them to the retired people in Tellico Village. Drove me nuts.
I have never understood why you didn't have at least one car for each trim level on the lot. If you have the room to pull it off... why not do it. Instead of always dealer trading cars to try and get what a customer wants. I realize sometimes you will have to dealer trade or order one because someone is looking for a very specific car but just never made sense to me.
Me either, man.
I understand the idea of being able so sop up a bunch of gravy with cars overloaded with options, it drove me insane that they would refuse to even stock a couple of base or lightly optioned cars to attract the younger buyers the manufacturer was craving.
(Granted, since I was in parts and hated having to listen to those old retired farts whine and cry that a paint pen cost 10 bucks or why I didn't have the floor mats their salesman promised them...)
I got ripped off on floor mat twice in my life, but I took my anger out on the sales manager lol.Me either, man.

Among the most vivid examples came this week, when security researchers Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek demonstrated that they could hijack a vehicle over the Internet, without any dealership-installed device to ease access. By hacking into a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, the researchers were able to turn the steering wheel, briefly disable the brakes and shut down the engine.
They also found readily accessible Internet links to thousands of other privately owned Jeeps, Dodges and Chryslers that feature a proprietary wireless entertainment and navigation system called Uconnect. Valasek and Miller said they could, by merely typing the right series of computer commands, hack into these vehicles, almost anywhere they might be driving.
I did a search at Autotrader.com for SUV/Crossover, used, max price 20k within 500 miles of my zip code here in Knoxville. Over 130 thousand results.
So you're gonna have to be a little more specific.
I'm on my way back from Knoxville going home to Jacksonville FL. Anything within about 200 miles is fine. I have an 02 Tahoe with 200 thousand miles on it on its last legs. I'd like something similar with a bit better gas mileage. Don't care of the make and model. I don't know that much about cars so I just came by to see what you guys recommend!
How many do you need to seat?
If you only need to seat 5 I recommend a Certified Pre-Owned Mazda CX-5. Try to go for a Touring trim that is 2014 or newer. That way you will get the peppier 2.5L motor. 32 mpg on the highway with a FWD model, 30 mpg highway on an AWD one.
If you need to seat 7 I recommend a pre-owned Toyota Highlander or Mazda CX-9.
If you stop by Mazda Knoxville on your search, be sure to ask for Peyton. That's me.
We also have a FWD 2013 Ford Escape with leather for $18,990.
5 seater is enough. Thanks so much for the advice nerd vol
What do you think about the Toyota Venza?
